“That. Was. So. Awesome!”
“You enjoyed it?” Blake laughed
“Best experience ever!” she giggled
“Sorry about that mud pit thing, that’s new.” he apologized
“It’s okay, that was so worth it!” Amelia was buzzing with adrenaline
“Look, you’re all dirty.” He wiped mud from her forehead
“What if I like dirty?” she breathed
His pupils dilated, his lips parted, “Seriously?”
“Uh-huh.” She bit her bottom lip
“Well I could get you good and dirty later.” He rasped
“Is that a promise?” she purred
“I’ll hold you to it.” He hissed before stalking off
Amelia watched him, drooling. He turned back, smirking.
“Are you just going to stand there looking at my behind all day or are we going to get something to eat?”
She blushed, “Er, yeah, sure, I’m coming.” She ran after him.
Damn Amelia, stop staring at him!
She chased him towards the hut where Earl and Vicky had just finished dealing with a customer.
“Earl, Vic, we’re going to head off now.” Blake said
Earl looked up, “It’s that time already?”
“Yeah, I know. We should head back to the resort before it starts getting too dark, plus, I’m taking Amelia out for a bite to ear. Is that steakhouse still open?”
“The Dutchman? Yeah, it’s still there,” Earl replied, “Kid,” he clapped his hand into Blake’s, “It’s been great seeing you again after all this time.”
“Likewise Earl, likewise.” Blake pumped Earl’s hand in a shake
Earl smiled, shaking Amelia’s hand, “Great to meet you Mia.”
“You too Earl, I really enjoyed the course.”
Blake’s arms were around Vicky who had tears streaming down her cheeks, “Can’t you stay longer? Please don’t go Blake, don’t go back to England. Stay, please stay!”
Blake looked torn, “Oh Princess, you don’t know how much I want to, but I live in England, I have a company in England, my family’s in England, the girl I love lives in England. I’ll tell you what, I promise to Skype you every week. You have Skype?”
“Yes...” Vicky sniffled
“Great sweetie, I’ve given your Dad my card, you e-mail me anytime okay? It’ll be like I’ve never even left.”
“I’m overreacting,” Vicky smiled fondly, “I’m fine.”
“You sure Princess?”
She beamed, hugging him again, “It’s strange, but I’ll miss you. Blake?”
“Yes Vic?”
“Make sure you stay with Mia forever.”
Amelia’s heart stopped
He smiled indulgently, “I’ll try.”
And started again.
“Bye Mia, take care of Blake for me.” She hugged Amelia
“I will Vicky, it was great to meet you.” She lowered her voice, “Good luck with your boyfriend. I hope he treats you like such a beautiful girl like you deserves.”
