Secret Love // l. Hemmings

"Mads!!" I heard my best friend Luke yell, turning around I see him running towards me smiling. I tried not to laugh seeing as he almost fell.

"Lukey!" I yelled happily getting some of the students attention towards us but I don't give zero fucks about it. They know very well that we usually do this.

We are best friends after all, once Luke was in front of me he hugged tight like always. "Glad you came to school today." He said.

"So you're telling me you didn't survive yesterday." I replied trying not to laugh, knowing the answer would be no for sure. "Pft, yes I did." He said rolling his ocean blue eyes at me.

"Liar, of course you didn't." I laughed as he pulled away from the hug. "Yes I did, you can even ask our other friends." He said pouting.

I cocked a brow at him and he pouted even more. "Yeah sure you did." I said as our group of friends came towards us.

"Hey Madeline." Aliana chirped happily as she hugged me. "Hello Ali." I smiled at her. "Madeline can I um...speak to you?" Marlee asked.

Before she looked at everyone and spoke up. "Alone." She mumbled I nodded as we walked far away as possible from the others.

"Is everything alright?" I asked we settled down on the bench by a tree. "Yes everything is alright the problem is that...I really have been realizing that I'm slowly falling for Cal." She mumbled looking down.

I smiled and hugged her. "Marlee..it was somewhat obvious to all of us." I whispered to her. I looked over to the group who where laughing their asses off.

But the thought of Marlee with Calum just didn't seem ok, what if it ruined their friendship we wouldn't be able to hang out together or who knows what...right?

She sighs and pulls away from the hug and smiles. "I'm going to tell him...Mads I'm going to tell him." She did feel or does feel confident about this.

"Good luck Mar." I smile weakly at her she said thank you and we headed back to the group.

"Finally you two decided to show up." Ashton said laughing we all laughed with him and chatted for while well that was until the bell rang.

When we all walked inside we all went our separate ways except for Aliana, Luke, and me we somehow have the same class.

"Hey Mads, what are you doing Saturday?" Aliana asked I looked at her and shrugged. "I dunno...probably stay home and do nothing why?" I asked.

She smirked something I always feared when it can to Aliana and plans. "You remember Richard?"

I rolled my eyes at the mentioned name. "Of course I do...who wouldn't he is the popular asshole of the school." I bluntly said.

"Yeah anyways he is throwing a party and everyone will be there, I thought we could all go to get some free time." She smiled happily.

The idea of free time didn't sound bad but a party Richard always throws something bad always happens.

"I don't know Ali...remember what happened last time with you and Jake." I said and she snorted out a laugh.

"I don't care about that player anymore...but we should go." She suggested I looked over at Luke who was just walking silently.

"What do you think Lukey?" I asked he seemed so deep into his thoughts that he looked confused. "What do I think of what?" He asked.

I laughed at the blonde boy. "If we should go to Richard's party idiot." I said calming down from my laugh.

He simply shrugged. "I honestly don't care if we go." He said giving us a smile as we one by one walked into the class and took our seats.

Soon the tardy bell rang and about two or three students rushed in the teacher following behind.

"Alright class take a seat and get out your pencil for shall we now may start on the test." Mrs. Wylie said as everyone groans including me.

Today will be yet again dramatic like always.
