Chapter 17: Santuary

Alexi's POV
There's still no news on Bekah. I know she's strong and will find her way home but I hope that when she dies come back the brothers and Marcel will start to treat her with more respect. Kol has got a lot of apologising to do when she does. I mean this family is fucked up and I'm part of this family and always will be since the day I met Nik.
That day I was meant to meet up with Beks but she was running late so I went on into the grill. That's where I bumped into my bloody ex Kol and he so happened to have Nik with him. When Nik saw there was hatred between me and Kol he was straight in there with asking the questions. A long with can I get you another drink.

Ever since that "Drink" my life hasn't been the same. I've been turned into a ghost by his mother when I learned about her secrets, she killed me and put me in a new body. They do say that the in laws are such lovely people to meet.

Whilst I was thinking about the memory I got a text from Nik saying to meet up with him. I decided that I should really shower before I go anywhere.
Having a shower always relaxed me. I get out and head into mine and Niks bedroom. I figured as the is nobody here no need for a towel or anything like that. Hayley is out with Hope and Jackson, Elijah is off getting to know more of the vampires of Marcel's group.

I'm about to reach out to grab a pair of pants when the bedroom door flys open.
Shit.....
Me- fuck Kol have you never heard of knocking.
Kol- Calm down love it's nothing I haven't seen before. But you are looking good.
I grab the blanket off the bed to wrap around me.
Me- What do you want Kol.
Kol- I need you to talk to Bekah when she finally decides to show up. I know she's gonna be pissed at me for this at the start.
Me- What ever happens between you and Bekah is nothing to do with me. Besides you deserve it after what you did.
With that I use my powers to send him flying out of the room and slam the door shut.

After my up wanted guest I manage to get dressed and head out to find Nik. I'm wearing a simple summer dress with my denim jacket.

I find Nik after texting him to see where to meet him.
Me- Well what do I owe the pleasure of meeting up with you during the day.
Klaus- I need your help with trying to ruin Hayley and Jacksons marriage ritual.
Me - Why do you want to do that Nik can't you let them be happy.
Klaus- That will never happen because Hayley will let him be dad to my daughter and that's not happening. I will not let that happen.
Me- remember no one Nik and I mean no one can take your daughter away from you cant you see that. You have a girlfriend who won't let that happen, a brother who even if he is mad at you will protect that baby with his own life. And let's not forget Bekah the awesome auntie there will ever be when she returns. Let them get married.
Klaus- it's not that easy.
Me- I've been thinking whilst you decide what to do with the whole Hayley situation, I'm going to go away to New York for a few weeks. There's a witch there who can help me learn more about the power I've got and how much I can take.
And before you say anything I'm a phone call away and will always pick up.
Klaus- Is this what you need to do.
Me- I do. I want to help protect Hope when Dahlia turns up and I'm not capable of that yet.
Klaus- I guess I'll see you in a few weeks.
Me- that's it no arguments.
Klaus- none as long as you do come back.
Me- Where else would I go. You've been my family since the day I met you and your ass hole of a brother in the grill.
I kiss him goodbye and head home to pack.

When I open the door to leave the house I see this girl approaching the house.
Me- Can I help you?
Person- I bloody hope so I'm dying for a drink. Aren't you going to invite a girl into her own house.
Me- I knew you'd find your way home Bek but your drinking alone I'm going to New York for a few days.
