I don't understand
How someone can hate the world,
Have you ever seen the stars twinkle?
Or felt the wind on your face?
Or seen the sun shining?
Have you gazed across our land?
Have you ever seen a flower unfurl?
Have you seen the rain when it sprinkles?
Have you stared into the abyss called space?
Have you seen the strikes of lightning
That light up the dark skies?
Because these are the things
That make our world beautiful
Without them, are world would be dull,
No different from the rest
But because of these things, I think ours is the best.
