"Erm, ahah where's your bike?" Austin said, as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, I left it at school.. I'm sorr-" He cut me off.

"Hop on with me." I smiled at his request. I got on the back pegs, and gently wrapped my arms along his neck, onto his shoulders.

"Where do you wanna go?" He asked.

"Food." I giggled, and he chuckled.

"Obviously, but where?" I started to think.. And I guess I was in the mood for icecream so I said.

"Lizzy's please."

"Lizzy's it is, as you wish my queen." and he started on the way. He decided to take a beautiful road by the lake we lived near.. It looked stunning in the moonlight.

"It's so .. beautiful."

"Yeah, it usually always is in the moonlight." He chuckled at my reaction. Ten minutes into the ride and he started humming a toon so familiar to my ears.. I started to sing along

"Wake up, I know you can hear me. Make me a promise here tonight." and for sure he heard me.

"I love that song."

"Really? Me too. I listen to it everyday, sometimes on replay." We arrived at our destination. No one but us was here, and I liked it. He decided to be the one to go up and order

"Mint chocolate chip frappe please, and thank you."

I was reaching for money, when he grabbed my hand and placed on the table.

"I'll pay, don't worry."

"I'll pay you back, I promi-" Yet, again, he cut me off.

"Crystal, shut up. You don't need to. I wanna pay for you." He walked off to get the icecream, and I sat there. Smiling to myself like an idiot. I think I've made my new bestfriend here tonight.

He came back a few minutes later.

"Wanna take a walk around the lake?"

He asked. I nodded in complete agreement.

"It's so beautiful out here at night.." I whispered out.

"Yeah, when my parents fight I usually come out here with my music and watch the scenery."

"Your parents fight..? If you don't mind me asking.."

"It's fine, && Yeah they do. A lot actually."

"Well, I'm here whenever you need someone. My life isn't exactly perfect either."

"I know, I'm sorry about Justin."

"He tells you.."

"He tells all of us. It's terrible what he does to you." I cringed at these words..

"I'm used to it. The pain. My dad left me and my mum when I was about, 4 or 5. After an abusive accident and I have never heard from him since." I sniffled, as I started to tear up.

"Please don't cry, I'm really sorry to hear that." He put his icecream down on a table and wrapped his arms around me gently.. holding me close enough, I could hear his heartbeat.

"Can we.. Go back?" He slowly nodded at my request and threw out our icecreams. After this, he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers as he guided me back to his bike. I got on the pegs and layed against his back.. the bike ride back was longer than the bike ride here. When we arrived, he gently pulled me in for a hug and I stood there for two minutes in his warm embrace until I heard him say.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow, get some rest."

"Alright, thanks so much for the icecream."

"Anytime you need it." I made my way up the stairs, and to my room. I just layed myself in bed and fell asleep.
