It was a sunny spring day and who else would I share it with other than my amazing brother, or at least that was the plan. We were sitting on a bench and I was trying to sketch a flower and he was watching me fail miserably. I love the idea of art and music and writing but I honestly am no good. And I'm not one of those girls who says they're no good when they're actually great, I'm actually no good. But that's okay because I didn't even get that far on my sketch when Tyler called Josh asking if they could practice and Josh of course said yes even though we were already doing something. "I'm sorry," he said. "It's fine," I say but he can tell that I'm a bit upset. "I'll buy you something if you want," he said looking around, "there are hot dog stands right there." "No thank you." "Oh I know! Just come with, you can draw us, if you want that is." "Okay, I guess," I say. On the way to his car Josh did end up getting two hotdogs and when I assured him many, many times that I didn't want one he ate both.
When we showed up at Tyler's house he  winked at me and offered us food, I declined, Josh accepted. After food they played a little and wrote a little and I drew them, very badly might I add. They turned out looking like dinosaurs. After a while they decided to put on a movie they would decide so Tyler closed his eyes and chose It's Kind of a Funny Story. I've obviously seen the movie because I love Emma Roberts to bits and pieces, but it didn't seem like Tyler or Josh had ever seen it before. I sat in between the two of them and part way through the movie I could feel Tyler playing with my hair because it's pretty curly and gets frizzy if you touch it too much I usually hate people touching my hair but he was being so gentle, carefully  trying to braid little pieces of it. "I love you hair," I hear him whisper just quiet enough that Josh can't hear. I look over at him and smile and he smiles back. The movie was about a depressed boy and for some reason Tyler reminded me of the actor in the movie.
After it was over they continued to mess around and practice and I continued to draw them, horribly. When it was time to go Tyler asked me if he could see what I drew and I was honestly embarrassed so I said no, but told him that I'll show him some drawing someday.
