"Gem, look at this!"
Gemmalynn flinched in surprise as she looked at a furious looking Hermione sitting with Ron, across from her and Harry at the Great Hall eating breakfast.
"Don't tell me you haven't seen this?!" Hermione said angrily as she turned the Daily Prophet she was reading towards her.
Gemmalynn shook her head and looked at the headline. "The spiraling love life of the Heiress Who Lived, Gemmalynn Gryffindor. Well, that's not a unique and catchy headline now, is it? And, that reporter claimed that I'm twelve." she said and chuckled in amusement. "Don't mind it, Hermione."
Hermione frowned at her. "How can I not? Listen to this, Gem. Miss Gryffindor, brilliant and talented girl, have been stirring romantic relationships with her fellow tri-wizards tournament champions at once. Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory. Her latest prey sources report is none other than the Bulgarian bon-bon Viktor Krum." she said and looked up at Gemmalynn, who frowned. "No word yet on how Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory are taking this latest emotional blow."
"You shouldn't really be reading that, Hermione." Gemmalynn said as she glanced at Harry, who was quietly chewing on his breakfast.
Hermione crumpled the newspaper. "Why are you so calm about this?! You should be angry! Furious!" she said, angrily and slammed her hand on the table, startling the others.
Gemmalynn was in the middle of drinking her pumpkin juice as she looked at her and sighed heavily. "I think you're already on that emotional level. Anyways, Harry and Cedric are my friends, it's normal I'm seen with them. And, Viktor is somewhat a friend? So, it works both ways." she explained and drank her pumpkin juice.
Harry looked at the crumpled newspaper and saw the moving photograph of him and Gemmalynn embracing each other. He smiled softly as he grabbed the newspaper and stared at it. Hermione noticed what he did and smiled knowingly at him.
Then, a young Gryffindor walked up to Ron, holding a package. "Parcel for you, Mr. Weasley."
Ron turned to him and smiled. "Thank you, Nigel." he said, gratefully and took the parcel.
Nigel turned to Gemmalynn and Harry and gazed at them. Gemmalynn noticed him looking and smiled politely as Nigel's eyes widen in awe.
Ron looked at Hermione and saw she was staring at Nigel, confused. He turned to him and saw he was star struck looking at Gemmalynn smiling at him.
"Not now, Nigel. Later. Go on."
Nigel grinned happily at Gemmalynn and quickly left. Gemmalynn, Harry and Hermione exchanged confused glances before looking at Ron.
