Kellin was alone in the apartment while Vic was still at work. The strange incident from the other day had almost been forgotten.

He was watching a random action movie on TV, comfortably sitting on the couch. Suddenly, all electricity was cut off, somehow, making Kellin jump.

Now he was all paranoid again. The worst horror scenarios flashed through his head. He didn't want to get off the couch, but he needed some light.

With the flashlight of his phone, he made his way into the kitchen. He opened the cupboard in which they kept tea lights. The dark-haired boy tried to remain calm, although that was easier said than done.

Kellin didn't really know why he was so frightened, it was like an instinctive reaction he couldn't control.

He got out a tea light and a lighter, making a little light in the kitchen. He looked around, seeing that nothing had changed. He began to light another few of the candles.

When he had what he thought was enough, he turned around and just about caught a glimpse of a person. Well, a dark silhouette of a person.

He didn't move. His heart was beating erratically and he was afraid the sound of it might give him away.

Was his mind just playing tricks on him?

He almost in slow motion took his phone off of the counter and dialed his boyfriend's number.

Vic picked up after the second ring. "Hey, babe. What's up?", he asked cheerily and Kellin quickly shushed him.

"Can you come home like, now?", he whispered.

"I get off in like, three minutes. What's wrong?", the older boy asked, now sounding worried.

"I don't know. The lights went out and I think there's someone i-", he was cut off by his own scream as he saw someone standing right in front of them.

They had just appeared out of thin air.

Kellin dropped his phone and his back hit the kitchen counter as he tried to get away. Whoever was in the apartment, was very tall and despite the candles, there were no facial features visible.

They wore a strange black cloth, which's hood was pulled over their head.

They didn't seem to have a face, it was just dark. Kellin continued screaming, until they clamped a gloved hand over his mouth.

Tears were starting to spill from his eyes. He didn't want to die yet!

"Will you stop screaming?!", an almost unnaturally deep voice demanded. The dark haired boy was breathing heavily and struggling against the person's grip on him.

"Stop moving. Promise you won't scream when I take my hand away and talk to you?"

Kellin didn't react, just closed his eyes tightly. He'd probably just fallen asleep on the couch and was now having a bad dream. When he woke up, his boyfriend would be in the kitchen, making some food and it would all be okay.

Stuff like this... This thing didn't exist. No, he was just stressed. This was all in his head.

"Do you promise?!", they asked again, this time with more force. The scared boy nodded frantically, as the man (or whatever the hell it was) removed their hand from his mouth.

"What do you want?", Kellin choked, crying, "Do you want money? Take it, take whatever, but please don't kill me."

The person chuckled, "I'm not here to kill you, yet."

"Help!", Kellin screamed in panic, so loudly that his throat hurt, "Please help me!"

"Shut up! You promised you wouldn't scream!"

Kellin was about to start screaming again, but decided against it. He really just wanted it all to be over.

"This isn't real, this isn't real. All just in my head, in my head. Just a stupid dream. Vic is right next to me. It's okay. Just a stupid, stupid dream. This isn't real.", he repeated over and over again to himself.

The person laughed dryly, "Oh, if only it was just a dream. But let me ask you something, I'm curious. If this isn't real... Why did you scream for help?"

Kellin didn't really know an answer to that. He was simply scared to death and hoped for someone to make all of this go away.

"Maybe I just like to scream."

He was clearly insane. Why the hell had he said that? He was for sure going to die now.

"Likely story!", the mysterious person exclaimed, "Now, let's get rid of these damn candles shall we?"

Just like that, all light was gone.

Kellin was beginning to think that this was all just a stupid prank. When he felt something cold against his throat, he let out another deafening scream.

The creature had no time to react, because in a second, the light was back on and in Vic was storming into the kitchen.

The creature was gone. Kellin started crying again. He was so relieved, but so scared.

"Bloody hell, Kellin! I thought you were getting murdered! What the fuck happened?"

Kellin could barely speak, "Th- there was..."

He threw his arms around his boyfriend and they held each other tightly.

"Vic, I'm going insane."
