Nova

I was sitting in the car , waiting for the twins to get out of school. Lani walked out with Ley behind her with an attitude. Lani got in the front and Ley got in the back , slamming door loudly. "Do that shit again you gonna get your ass beat."
She rolled her eyes and didn't speak.
"Put on your seatbelt."
She huffed out loud, grabbing the seatbelt and putting it across her chest. I pulled off and drove to the Counsel building.
" I missed practice for this ? I don't need to be here." Ley exclaimed.
"Well we here so shut up." Lani snarled. I looked at her with wide eyes. Lani never has said anything so....unexpected before.
" Cmon lets go." I said as they got out the car with me. We walked inside and got directions inside to meet Ayanla Vanzant. Odell was in there already talking as we walked in. We matched eyes and he smiled , making me slightly blush. He got up and hugged all of us as Ley pushed him off rolling her eyes.
" I need to talk to Nova real quick outside." He said to the girls and pulled me out.
" Odell what d-"
"Macy not coming."
"Of course she isn't."
"Do wanna still have a relationship with her ?"
" I don't know anymore.Lets just get this over with."I said , walking back inside. I walked inside and Ayanla asked us a question.
" Do you guys mind if I just talked to Leydiana in private ?"
We all nodded and left the room.

Leydiana

After everyone left the room, it got silent. She just stared at me with a smile.
" Can you stop looking at me please? It's annoying." I barked.
She just laughs.
"Your feelings are that hurt huh ?"
" What ?" I scrunched up my face.
" I can tell that your family is broken and the family will not be complete without you."
" They have been fine without me." I said, looking at my nails and avoid in her looks.
" You did something and you feeling guilty and someone said something to you that broke your heart. It's written all over your face."
My face began to get pale. A lump formed in my throat and it was hard to swallow.
" I don't know what you talking about." I spoke with a shaky voice.
" Go head and keep lying. Just dig a deeper hole to hide in."
"Whatever." I said, rolling my eyes and getting up. I began to leave until she spoke.
" People like you only learn when they hit rock bottom : remember that."
I stopped and looked back at her.
"Why would I need you to help me ?"
"Why would you need me to help you ?"
I shook my head and walked out.

Odell

I watched Ley walk out as Nova shook her head. Mrs.Vanzant walked out.
"I guess the meeting will continue next week."
"Yes it will we apologize for her." Nova spoke.
"You guys shouldn't be doing the apologizing." She said walking away.
We left and dropped Lani off. Court says that she has to stay there for now on because of Macy mean ass and Lani can only stay for weekends.
The ride to our house was quiet.Too quiet.
"Baby what's -"
Nova stormed out the car once I put it in park. I sighed as I turned off the car. I walked into the house hearing unbearable silence.
"Nova."
I heard a loud sob from upstairs. I jogged upstairs into our bedroom to see her laying on the bed,shaking from crying. I took off my shoes and laid beside her,pulling her into my arms.
"Baby what's wrong ?"
" If I knew she was going to act like this, I would have never went to jail. I didn't think about the consequences ! Now I put her in a bad place ! What kind a mother am I ? "
I wrapped my arms around her as tight as I could. I kissed her forehead and let her know that everything would be alright.
