All the heavy gear and staying up many nights had made you exhausted and in pain. You had twisted your ankle a few days ago and hadn't been able to treat it until you traveled out of the Ice Nation territory.

You were the daughter of the queen of the Ice Nation and had betrayed your mother's request at killing a fellow ally, thus her banning you. You had managed to shoot an arrow her way, but wasn't there longer enough to see if it killed her or not.

It was an act of anger towards her. It wasn't fair to you. But you had no other choice, you had to leave or you'd be killed.

So you stumbled through the forest, finally getting out of Ice Nation territory and into what you thought was no man's land. A cave stood a good couple feet away from you.

Inside the cave it was cold and damp, but safe enough. You had grabbed wood on your way to the cave in hopes to make a fire and with your luck you had found there was already some left over wood inside.

You built the fire and watched it glow, becoming very sleepy. A few hours wouldn't hurt, you thought before you fell asleep.

When you woke, you felt a cold cloth on your forehead and you opened your eyes. A grounder, most likely from Trikru, was looking over you.

You sat up and rushed to a wall, suddenly afraid. He should have killed you when he found you, which made you wonder why he didn't.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He spoke in english, the only other language you knew.

"Why not? I'm trespassing on your land." You snap.

"I was banned from Trikru, like you. I've been living here." He explained. He knew what you were going through.

"I was left to leave Ice Nation in a matter of two days before I was to be killed. I didn't realize someone was staying here." You came closer to gather your things.

"No please. Stay. Let me help with your leg." He offered. It hurt terrible and you didn't know how to, so you let him.

You found his name was Lincoln, but that's it. He learned your name and soon you had become good friends. He managed to lessen the pain and make it more comfortable for you to sleep.

Although you had to sleep significantly close to Lincoln, you didn't mind. He kept you warmer than the fire most nights.

Weeks after you had managed to create a relationship with Lincoln, with no one to bother you during special moments.
You sat by the fire every night and talked, keeping each other going.

In the moment, you were glad to have been banned or you would have never met him.
