I get up off the floor and my nose is bleeding. Chance walks towards me.

“Well little brother sorry to say this but you deserved it.”

I swing a punch at him and he dodges it. “Why the hell didn’t you call and tell me I was going to have a baby.”

“Why the hell didn’t you come back sooner or at least called the girl.”

I put my head down in shame “I did call her lots of times just to listen to her voice but then I would hang up.”

I then looked Chance in the eyes “I had to prove I deserved her.”

“Well brother seems you the only one that thinks your not good enough for her.”

“Where do you think she went I need to get her back I love her I got her and engagement ring. “ I take it out and show it to them.

“This was before I knew I was going to be a father, now she has to marry me.”

“She has a choice, if you didn’t have to prove yourself before. You sure as hell have to now.” Joe says.

“Joe I want to marry your daughter do I have your blessing to peruse her?”

“Son I would have to kill you if you didn’t. Now you have your work cut out for you. Convincing her you wont take off again and convincing me not to blow your brains out for hurting my girl.”

“I’m sorry Sir I love your daughter and I thought about her all the time I was gone, I left her letter.”

“Son you have a lot to learn when it comes to women.” Joe tells me.

“Know is someone going to tell me where I can find Mary Joe.”

Just then Tammy and Kim come in “Hey when did Ben make up with Ken?”

We all turn to look at Kim.

“What are you talking about he hates Kens ass.” Tim says.

“Oh shit, call the police” I tell Chance.

“Do you think he’s going to do something to them.” Chanced asked.

“He came by the bar that night that Mary Joe and I” I um cleared my throat.

“We… anyway that day he came into the bar and was asking about were Ben lived. I pissed him off telling him they got married and he lived in Tim’s ranch. Dude was seriously mad.” I was starting to really freak out he has my woman with him now. I will rip him apart with my bare hands.

“Oh my God guys I just heard what happened!” said Lucy Codey there cousin.

“You know the police are going to say they have to be missing for 24 hours before they can do anything.” Lucy reminded them.

“But Patrick’s friend Freddy is in town and I think he might be able to help us since the trail may still be warm.” I had to smile at her.

“How long have you been waiting to use that line.” She smirked and stuck her tongue out at me.

“Well shit woman give him a call, who knows what that freaking maniac is doing to my poor Ben.” Tim said all upset.

Lucy call Patrick and he got a hold of Freddy who coming to the hall were the baby shower is being held.
