"You look really pretty" Merathus stared in awe at her older sister who was in a nice somewhat modest dress.

Nevaeh smirked down at her sister. "Thank you, now we need to dress you up, you're coming with us"

Merathus frowned "where are we going."

"To church"

"Oh, I remember, it's the one that's named after a flower right?"

"It's called the Little Flower, and no, that's a Catholic Church, we're going to the one that's by your school"

"The brown building? That's a church? It's doesn't have a cross on it" she frowned in confusion.

"Not all churches have a cross Merathus. Not everyone believes in that."

"What do you mean? The cross represents Jesus and the sacrifice he made for people."

"Yes, but he lives. He's not dead, he's just not on Earth yet."

Something clicked then. Merathus never thought about Christ coming back to earth, when she saw the cross it meant he died for everyone's sins, but she had recently learned from the missionaries that that's not quite the case.

Nevaeh got Merathus ready and they were soon on there way to church.

When they entered the building Merathus looked around in awe. The building was nothing special, it had plain white walls, dark blue-green specked carpet, purple couches. But the paintings, they were a different story.

Merathus enjoyed art, she was fascinated by people's artistic abilities. She stared at a painting of a man in red and white robes with long hair.

"Merathus, who is that?"Nevaeh smiled warmly at the painting.

"That's Jesus Christ, and he lives."
