Merathus attended more lessons with the missionaries enjoying what they taught but will she enjoy the next steps just as much?

"Merathus! Get back here"

"WHAT!?" Merathus sighed in defeat as she trudged to her annoying at times sister

"The missionaries wanted you to have this"

"A present! For me!?"

"Yeah, it's a picture book"

"Oh a book, do I have to read it all?" Merathus stared down at the picture book that seemed a bit too long for her liking.

"Yeah, can you read it to me"

"No" she answered taken aback

"Read the first 10 pages to me"

"I don't want to"

"Well it wasn't a question"

She huffed and unwillingly opened to the first page and began to read.

"I don't understand it" Merathus gave up after reading 5 captions the pictures had

"Read it again, slower this time"

She read again and pondered what the words meant. Intrigued by the story she read 11 pages before she knew it.

"Was that so hard?" Neaveh questioned

"Yes! I don't want it." But deep down she wanted to keep reading.
She stared at the book in her sisters grasp like it held something true, something big, something she wanted to know more about.

2 days later...

"Hey Neav, what was that one book you gave me called?"

"It's a Book of Mormon for children, why" Neav smirked at her younger sister.

"It was really good"Merathus defended "Can I read it some more?"

"Yeah, it's in the cabinet by the TV" Neav smiled warmly

Merathus rapidly looked for the book and began to read. She couldn't stop even when night came, she found herself staying up late to read The Book of Mormon. Little did she know she would later make a big decision that will change her life drastically because of the picture book she found interesting.
