" alright Lady Indians we the number one seed in our conference all we gotta do is go out there and win this meet and We State champions, this is all we ever wanted since we got together 3 years ago & we not going out here without a fight. 1-2-3 TOGETHER WE ARE" I gave my inspirational speech like I always do & we left the huddle.

First race was the 100meter hurdles. I don't run that so I have to go warm up in the back of the bleachers. As I was walking up the stairs to take off my sweat suit I saw Jermaine, my mother & the rest of the crew. I smiled to my self and went to go do my warm ups

As soon as I got to the back I heard the gun shot sounding off to start. Then my coach came and slapped my back

" wassup kid you nervous"

" a lil bit coach Fred this is all i wanted since I was a little girl"

" aye number 2 you getting soft on me" she joked

" nah baby no mercy"

" there we go. But go out there and don't think about anything"

" I got you coach." We hugged and I finished warming up walking back to the front to sit with my team

100m hurdles is over, we won the first 2 heats but lost our 3,4&5th. Next thing I knew it was time for the 100 meter dash. That's my first event. I run 1st heat which is the fastest runners. I took my mark on the starting line. The gun sounded and I booked it.

I was losing at first because I had a horrible start but when we got to about the 50 meter mark I was gon. I head dipped anyway just so I could embarrass them even more. I finished with a time of 10.60 seconds. What high schooler y'all kno run 100meters that fast ? Nobody.

We ended winning that event all together. We were up 7 points to 3. The next event was the 1600. 4 laps around the track. I don't do long distance so I will be sitting for a very long time because after long distance was field events I only do the long jump. Long distance ended and we won by 2 seconds. Tht put us up 8 points to 3.

Long jump was up next and I always go second. It was my turn and when the official gave me the signal to go I put my head down ran the 10 meters and lunged as far as I could. I had a distance of 17.21. After everything was tallied I fell in second place. The stupid white bitch only beat me by a centimeter.

We lost that event so now we was only up 8 to 4. Field events were over and we lost the rest the events so now we were only up 8 points to 7. For track it is time for the 800. 2 laps around the track. Oh no no no you won't catch my black ass doing that.

We all sat back in the bleachers cheering on Breanna. She lost the first lap but booked it on the second. Like she was out. Breanna had Shawty there looking stuck I stupid.were up 9-7 Next was the 200m & Romel is our fastest boy on our team.

When that gun sounded you couldn't even see him no joke he was gone. Then again he's 6'3 and has long ass legs. His strides aren't long tho hes just plain fast. We shouted Romels name when he passed the bleachers. We won that Race to so now we were up 10-7.

But this is the race that means everything. Relay. One mess up and you disqualified. Sachem is known for always being the fastest but this season we struggled on relay a lot. I was the anchor meaning the 4th and last person to run.

Shayla who is first was out when the gun sounded, but one of the girls in lane 6 caught up to her they handed over the baton at a tie. Sean who was second was out hes Romels twin brother so what you expect. Ashley the 3rd person ran her ass off and passed me the baton and I just took off like a bat out of hell.
