"Does he like you or something?" Ryoko questions from beside you, looking at the dark haired boy who was quietly watching you from a distance.

"Eh, I don't know." You shrug, biting into your apple. "We met a few months ago, we've been pretty cool since then."

"Does he have to be so...stalkerish about it?" Ryoko sweatdrops as you stifle a chuckle. Her lips form a smirk as you raise an eyebrow. "The real question is: do you like him?"

Your cheeks turn hot, and your face flushes as Ryoko squeals. "Aw! (Y/N) has a crush!"

"I might as well get over it." You shrug, letting Ryoko take the apple out of your hand and bite into it. "I feel like he's completely obsessed with Nakiri Alice. Have you seen her? She's drop dead gorgeous!"

"Gorgeous? Sure. Strange and weird? Definitely." Your best friend notes as you roll your eyes playfully and steal your apple back.

You steal a glance in his direction and feel your heart throb when Alice leans close to him and talk to him with a model-like smile on her face. He responds with short answers, his expression remaining the same.

"Don't mind them." Ryoko says suddenly, blocking your view of the two. "I have an idea! I know this new kid, and he needs a tour." She smirks, an evil glint in her eyes as you sweat drop.

"No." You say bluntly, but she already has her phone whipped out, and her back turned to you.

"Hey Natsuki! Come down to the field next to the fountains, I found you a tour guide!" She says with a big smile as you struggle to grab the phone from her hands. "Five minutes? Okay!" She snaps her phone shut and grins as you sigh in defeat.

"You're the worst best friend ever..."

"Don't worry, I love you too. Now go wait by the fountain, you'll definitely know which one he is." She gives you a slight shove into the fountain's direction, and smiles at you really big before dashing off.

You sit patiently on the fountain, your eyes wandering until they meet Ryo's dark ones once again. He's still taking with Alice, but his eyes are locked with yours as you manage a small smile.

For once, the corner of his lips quirk a bit in your direction before he turns his full attention to Alice.

Throb. You ignore it.

"Um...excuse me." A voice snaps you out of your little daze and you look up to meet with bright blue eyes. "Ah! Gomen, but I'm looking for a girl named...(Y/N)?"

"That's me." You stand up and smile, looking over his appearance. His tousled brown hair fell messily over his ice blue eyes, and he had a kind of geeky nerd look going. You extend a hand. "Nice to meet you."

He smiles and shakes it before showing you his map of the school. "I still need to tour a lot of it, I'd understand if you're not up for it..."

He's so sweet. You smile. Maybe I can forget about Ryo.

You suddenly feel someone bump into your shoulder accidentally, and you lose your balance and begin to fall into the fountain.

You yelp and close your eyes to wait for the cold embrace of the water, but instead, you feel an arm wrap quickly around your waist and pull you into a warm embrace.

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to, uh-" He notices how close your faces are, and his cheeks flush. "Y-you're cute..."

You blink, and your face flushes as well. "Th-thanks."

He lets you go and turns the other way, coughing slightly with red cheeks. "So where to first?"

You see Ryoko behind Natsuki high five the guy who bumped into you. Soma. How could you not have realized she'd be meddling?

You manage a tired smile and loop your arm around his before beginning the tour.

What you didn't notice was the hateful gaze of the dark haired boy as you walked off with a smile on your face, his lips set in a frown as he slips away.

"Thanks for the tour!" Natsuki bows in front of you.The tour had lasted until night time, and you were both exhausted from walking, but you smile and shake your head.

"Don't mention it, I had fun." You giggle, Natsuki's ears turning red. He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear as you gulp at the closeness.

"(Y/N)-Chan...would you like to-"

"Oh, (Y/N), there you are." A new yet familiar voice cuts in, your breath slightly catching in your throat.

You both turn to see Ryo walking towards the two of you, a distasteful look on his face as he sees how close you two are, a strand of your (H/C) hair in his fingers.

He throws an arm around your shoulder and pulls you back, looking down at Natsuki, who was fairly shorter. "You said your piece, don't you think it's time for you to go off now?"

Natsuki frowns and looks to you. "Do you know this guy, (Y/N)-chan?"

"Does she know me?" He chuckles humorlessly. "I'm her boyfriend."

Your eyes widen. "Wha-?"

He clamps a hand over your mouth. "Well, we'll be off. Later short stack."

You finally manage to rip him and his hand off of you when you reach the entrance to the gardens. "What is wrong with you?! He was telling me som-"

Ryo takes a step closer to you. "I couldn't give you to him. You're mine, got that?"

"W-who said I was yours?" You mumble, looking down at your shoes. "You're always with Alice...I feel like..." You feel your eyes getting hot. "You want to be with her. Not me...I'm...nothing compared to her."

A tear slipped out and slid down your cheek as he brushes it away with his finger.

"I love you, (Y/N)."

"N-no you...you don't-!" You hiccup, feeling his icy fingers wrap around your chin and pull you in for a kiss.

It was warm. Your tears stop almost immediately and you melt into his embrace.

"Does that prove it?" He whispers as he pulls away, resting his head on yours and kissing your hair.

"I never knew you could be this sweet."

"Trust me, I didn't either." You feel him smile against your hair. "But I guess you bring out a side of me no one else will ever see."

"And you talk more around me." You joke, hearing him chuckle humorlessly.

He pulls back, his arms still wrapped around you. He traces patterns on your shoulder as his voice grows gentle, "Will you be mine?"

"Yes." You smile as you stand on your tiptoes to reach his lips.
