3. Just A Little Fun

It's Friday and I just got out of school. I don't know where grace went after my first period but oh well maybe I'll see her later. I was walking out of school to where the parking lot was when one of my best friends Jamie and his boyfriend walked over to me. Jamie hugged me from behind.

"Hey Boo" He said while fixing his messed up brown hair with blonde highlights at the tip of his hair.

"Hey Jamie... I see you've had another make out session with Alan" I said. I looked over at alan who was blushing deeply.

"Don't be jealous" Jamie replied kissing Alan's cheek. I laughed.

"What did you want Jamie" he smiled at what I said remembering what he was going to tell me.

"Me, Alan, and Kayla are going to a bonfire beach party today at 8 and you're coming" he said smiling still.

"Jamie you know I don't like parties what makes you think-" I was cut off shortly when he opened his mouth again.

"Norah's gonna be there" Jamie finished. No wonder he kept smiling. Gosh now I'm gonna have to go now since I know my crush is going to be there.

"Make sure you're dressed and have your bikini at around 7:30, I'll pick you up" He said. I gave jamie and his boyfriend a hug then they walked away. Great now I need to get a bikini. I never liked going to the beach or anything like that because mostly I didn't want to show my body off to random strangers. I can't stand parties with average teenagers who always get high or drunk all the time it's annoying. I got home and began searching for a bikini in our garage where there were all sorts of clothes and stuff nobody wore. After hours of looking around I finally found 2 bikinis a two piece and a one piece. I don't know which one to choose though. I mean do I wanna be sexy which was the red two piece bikini or do I wanna just look casual which was the black one piece. Ugh let's see if I wear the two piece maybe Norah will notice me and think I'm attractive. Yeaah I'm gonna go with the two piece. I grabbed it and went to my bathroom, sat the bikini on my counter and got in the shower.

When I got out of the shower I put some of my nicest clothes on, brushed my teeth and stuff and grabbed the bikini so I can put it in my travel backpack. I walked into my room that was really cold for some reason. The window was closed so I don't know how it could be so cold.

"Hey there.. You look nice where you headed" Grace said. Oh. No wonder it was so cold grace is here now. She looked me up and down and I couldn't help but blush.

"Uh I'm going to a bonfire beach party" I said quietly. She smiled and walked over to me. God she's so beautiful.

"You like parties?" She said giving me a questioning look that said no way. What. Do I not look like a party person.

"Yes" I lied of course.

"You know I can tell when you're lying right?" Grace laughed and pushed my arm playfully.

"Oh" I giggled.

"So what's the real reason why you're going jane" She smiled and pulled my hand so I can join her on the bed. I love hearing my name come out of her mouth for some reason I don't know why.

"Because my crush that you saw in the morning 'Norah' is going" Again I felt embarrassed about telling her that. Grace smile kinda faded a bit.

"Is that why you're dressed like this and bringing that very attractive bikini with you" She asked. Well I know I can't lie to her so.

"Yes" I said shyly.

"Jane you're beautiful without all the really nice clothes and you don't need any attractive clothes to get attention from someone you like, if they truly like you they would like you for what's inside not for what you wear or how you look" Grace brushed some hair out of my face after talking. My cheeks burned and my heart felt warm from what she had said. But I'm still going to wear this and go to that party.
