I put my arms up ready to block anything Jordan's dad did to harm me, I wasn't going to fight back. Just block and dodge.

Thankfully as quick as the first punch came, it ended. Jordan stood in front of me blocking me from his fathers punch. I didn't need this type of protection but I was glad he would try to protect me.

Jordan shuffled closer to his confused dad, holding his still tense fist. "Dad, i think we should go outside for a talk." Wolfy turned back to me, after having a long stare off with his father. " I won't be long, look in the fridge for something to eat if you'd like..." With that the two males walked off outside.

To be honest right now a nice warm bath, would suit much better than eavesdropping on them- wait what am I saying! They could be planning a trade to the hunters!

I walked through the house and stood relatively close to the door; on the other side they were sat on the grass.

"She's not human dad!-" Jordan cried in a hushed whisper only to be talked over by his father.

"God... Son, how do you know that? Even if she is your mate, how can you trust her? You can't-" this time Jordan interrupted.

"I can trust her! I just know it! And I know it because she smells of wolves and is running from the hunters too!" Jordan spoke with just as much annoyance as his father did.

He wasn't even supposed to be sharing that information out anyway! They would get an idea on who I am, however I couldn't just waltz In there they would know I was eavesdropping...

Jordan's butt was so gonna get introduced to a cheese grater later. Though I like his butt, it's nice... I will have to think of something else instead!

"Fine, but if she's a danger to us then it's your fault and I will not be handing the role of Alpha over to the likes of you" Jordan's father grumbled, not sounding amused at all.

There was silence for a bit before Jordan spoke. "Okay, however I know it won't come to that" with that I heard shuffling and I decided to open the door.

"Wolfy can I borrow a towel?" I shouted to Jordan.

He smiled and nodded at me but I was more focused on the glaring alpha behind him. " She's even seen your wolf form! " seethed the alpha.

Oh boy poor Jordan has a lot of explaining to do...

I skipped off to the bathroom and started running a warm bath to lay in. Once the bath water was in the tub, I added some soap and climbed in after stripping.

How long could I risk staying here for? Not too long, I realise that.

But I want to stay that's the issue. My heart wants me to stay but my mind doesn't. It's crush against danger. Crush? I have no clue where that came from but I don't have a crush on Jordan.

Nope, all aboard the nope train. Choo! choo!

The water started to turn cold so I pushed myself up and grabbed the towel, to wrap around me.

I pulled the plug and let all the water drain from the bath. All I could smell was guys, it was very overpowering but in a way I was grateful because it would help mask my scent.

I grabbed the clothes from my bag and put them on after my body had been towel dried. I left my short hair to air dry as I decided it would be a good decision to explore the house. I took note every exit point and hiding spot available to me in case push came to shove and I had to leave immediately.

Once I had gone through the house thoroughly I went back to the living room, where Jordan was now sat with his father talking. I stepped back not wanting to intrude but his dad called me forth.

"How do we know your not a threat to us?!" I guess Jordan's dad still wasn't happy with my presence.

"Because I'm just passing through town. I need to just escape from the people who are following me." I say as I stand by the door, not willing to sit down.

I study his tense movements as he fires his next question at me. "Who are following you-"

I cut him off immediately with a blunt answer. "Wolves, maybe hunters"

He grits his teeth and tightens his fists at me, guess he still doesn't like me. "Why would wolves be after a weak, little human girl then? Didn't you want to open your legs for them like all you pathetic humans do?! "

I smirked at him even though inside I felt very insulted. " No. I killed some wolves, maybe a beta, maybe an alphas son. I also killed some hunters, is that enough information for your liking?" I grumble as he glares back at before turning to his son.

"See! She is dangerous yet your keep her around because you think something good will come out of it! It's pathetic, the longer she's around the more dangerous she will become. Yet you insist she will become of some value to you!"

"She already is!" Cried Jordan. Well then somebody's clingy and I'm not even with the guy... Wait he better not be thinking about trading me with the hunters. Oh god I can just imagine how happy they would be with my wolfs head on a wooden hanger, saying 'The head of the last female wolf'...

Nope, I'm good thanks.
Not today, not tomorrow, not ever! I like my head attached to my body!

I clenched my fists and stepped back, ready to bolt to freedom if they came closer.

Jordan's dad stood up abruptly and glared at us both. " I'm leaving now but if I see her near the pack house or talking to the pack I will not be happy at all! Keep her inside at all times, I don't want my pack at risk. Especially till we know what she is." Grumbled the old, miserable alpha. My, I wonder who pooped in his cornflakes this morning.

"Ok" was all that slipped from Jordan's lips as he looked away from his father.

Wolfy's father sighed before making his way out the door, but colliding his shoulder with mine on the way out as he whispered " I'm watching you "
