'What? No way! And how could I believe you? I've never seen you before in my life?' I chocked out. How could they even think I would die to give them my body so they could dissemble it. No thanks.
'Actually, Leijla. We have been watching you for almost your whole life. We found out about your existence the time when you had fake parents. And how do we know? Well look around you. You see that purple liquid?'
'Yea...'
'That's what's in your blood. Of course, we haven't taken it and tested it yet, but we will, soon.'
Alright, why don't I just give up my body to some creepy stalker who doesn't even know how to deal with a real human being?'Where you doing this? What is the purpose of the "experiment"?' My head was bursting with questions. And I really wish I could get out of these restraints.
'Leijla, we know this is hard for you to believe. And I can't tell you what I am doing this experiment for. I'm sorry, but you have no choice. Please enjoy the last hour of your life.'
'What? What! Come back! Now! Omg I swear I will get out of these and slap you so hard on the face you crazy maniac, I mean it!'
He simply chuckled to himself and left. His son gave me a 'sorry' look. But I wasn't here to accept no apologies. And I'm not here to hear someone laugh before I die. I won't die. This is not on.After fifteen minutes of staying silent and staring at ceiling, planning on what to think about, the door behind me opened quick. Here we go.
'Leijla.' A hushed voice was behind me, and it wasn't the maniac. I turned my head. It was the son. His eyes were so close to mine.
'What?' I whispered back.
'Listen I know this isn't right of me to do in regards to my father, but I'm going to unstrap you. Okay? I shut down the security cameras, because you were in one position the whole time.' He snickered at that. 'So stay quiet, and when you get up, take a left and run straight until you find a large brown door.'
I nodded in agreement. A beacon of hope.
The son started on my arms, and it took him five minutes to do one hand. In the time being, he spoke to me.
'My name is Hudson. And I know about my father, please don't use this time to offend my family.''Ok ok. Why are you letting me go?'
'Because I know what you want in life. I know you want to be free. I don't want to sound like a stalker, but I've studied you and your feelings.' He stopped taking off the straps and stared into my eyes.
This was slightly creepy yet really nice of him.
'If you have studied me, where's Alex? And is Rebecca really dead?'
Hudson looked around the room nervously. Something was up. With Alex? Don't let another part of my dream come true?!
'Alex. Don't stick around him. He's a traitor. Trust me. I know you've had your first kiss with him, but there's something behind that "romantic cheesiness". I mean the way he looks and touches you? UGH!'
Uhh, is this a hint of jealousy?
I just nodded and cleared my throat. 'So? Rebecca?'
'Rebecca isn't dead. I'm sorry to say, but she's still after you.' These words hit me. Now I have to deal with her, another time! When will she leave me alone?
'Done!' He said. All the straps were undone and I finally got up, stretching my neck and examining the red marks on my arms and legs.
'Come on. Go before he comes!' I nodded in agreement and we quickly walked out of the room together.
'Hudson? Really?' We stopped dead in our tracks. And turned. Uh oh.
Hudson scrunched up his face. But then he released.
'Yeah dad, I'm not going to be your lab rat anymore. There's a life out there I need to have! Hold on.' His father stood there with a surprised look on his face, but Hudson didn't care. He walked inside the room again, ignoring my calls, and took every beaker and poured them down the sink. OH! In your face!
Hudson came out, and grabbed my hand. Friendly gesture, but sarcastic move. Great sarcastic move!
We started running down the hallway, and took a left. There was literally just a white hallway in front of us. When we turned the corner, we ran into someone.
Alex.
Hudson released my hand.
Alex clenched his jaw and so did Hudson.
Then they clenched their fists.
