Too Much

If there was one thing I know,

is that happiness is one thing,

I will never take for granted.

I will hold it close until it lasts,

make sure the light ignites.

Tucked away from the world,

I'm gonna be greedy for a while.

I'm keeping the sun in my hands,

Making sure that the light touches,

every little inch of skin on me.

But that's a dream that I cannot handle.

I have to let go,

for the sun has burned my skin.

The light is not reaching every part of me,

because I am showing only one side.

There is pain in happiness.

Because the demons have taken my soul.

The world that was once full of light,

has burned us all.

I am living in the sea, drowning.

I live behind a closed door,

accompanying a broken light bulb.

The river of glass cascading down my bare skin.

I am not living, I am just surviving.

Hanging by a thread.

Hey guys! I thought this one was a nice poem. Talks about how one cannot ever keep life for so long, and that one day one will have to let go. I thought this was sweet so I decided to share it with you!
