Glass

50 7 8

We hold the hammer,

The hammer of life.

Just above the glass,

That keeps us right.

Just above the glass,

Such dangerous weapons we hold.

But we are soldiers,

Keeping a hold.

But one day,

You let go.

So I put my hammer down,

To try and close the wound.

The glass cuts through my fingers,

Yet I still try.

I have all the pieces in except for one.

I need you.

I try,

To solve the puzzle.

But working with glass

Is like tying to outlast death.

Just the last piece is not fitting.

The piece that once brought us together.

My hands are bleeding,

Trying to fix the glass of love.
