You know me well

Of course it was rather dark when we got in. It was just as expected with the cloud coverage and the ceiling with broken lights. We each flipped our flashlights on and started to walk. "Geez, it smells horrible in here." I said which caused everyone else to look at me with a "no joking" face. I simply laughed. "Betcha it's a bunch of rotting bodies!" Jenna then look at me in a concerned manner. Trenton laughed as he said, "Of course you'd say that.." Jonathan didn't say anything until I flashed my flashlight at his face, causing him to tell me to knock it off. I laugh at him then, and we continued in. "So, worse case scenario? Let's get the spook on already." I said, Trenton looked at me, "Well, you're the one who likes horror stuff, why don't YOU enlighten us?" We continued walking, and I ran ahead, jumping up on a bed that had been dragged out of a room in the past as I lifted my flashlight to causing an eerie look on my face. "Ghosts, and the dead bodies coming alive to kill us in revenge of their suffering in this horrid place! Mwhahaha!" Jenna shook her head, and pulled me back onto the ground. "With all of your screaming you'd wake UP the dead. Geez, girl, what did I get myself into with being your friend anyhow." I elbowed her side and smiled, "You know you love me. Besiiides I'm rarely loud, just let me have my moment for once?" She rolled her eyes as she smiled back, and walked on ahead of us. "Come on, we don't wanna be driving home in the dark now would we?" "But that would add to the spooky-ness of this entire trip! Let's take our time!" "Isha, you're still a kid. You are a cinnamon roll who needs protecting. Listen to Jenna." Trenton responded to me. "If you know me well enough I'm not a cinnamon roll, and come on, I wanna be the victim of this story if something scary is here! I'm gonna be that one victim who actually stays alive!" "You can barely run 5 minutes without complaining, and you wanna be the victim who HAS to run from the horrible creature?" Jenna remarked, which I laughed at. "I'll lose weight if I run for my life! It's just good thinking!" Trenton then facepalmed, "Good thinking to get you killed." Jonathan had made a noise to get our attention, causing her to turn our lights on him. "Guys I think I found stairs to go down." He said, causing me to run over to him. "HECK YEAH THATS WHERE ALL THE CREEPY STUFF HAPPENS RIGHT?" I screamed. Jenna sighed and followed with Trenton. We all went down together, but of course because of my excitement I was the first down. I shown my light around and it was a room full of medicine, strange fluid stains were on the walls, and a black figure could be seen against a wall, it looked like a man who had been slammed against the wall due to a large red-brown splat. "Dude its our first dead body! Get down here!" I yelled at them as they took their sweet time getting down. I slowly walked towards it and tapped the back of it, causing some of the body to fall apart and create more of a stench. "Guck!" I stepped back. Jenna took my hand and moved me further from it, causing me to scream because I didn't know it was her at first. "Oh my God, Isha, it's just me." I then stopped screaming and looked back at her with a cheeky smile. "I totally knew that! I was just.. messing with ya! That's all!" Trenton had his attention on the horrible smelling body. "Y'know this doesn't look like it's been here more than a month.." He raised a brow. "Yeah, Isha, I hope you're liking this horror stuff, but.. I'm gonna do what most people in a horror story WOULDN'T do. I'm leaving. I'm not gonna be the stupid white guy who dies first because he wanted to see more dead stuff." I whined at him, "Don't gooo, be a pal! If we die we all die together!" I said, causing him to sigh and shake his head. "..I'll stay a little longer and think about it, but if I see another body that hasn't been dead longer than 4 months, I'm out of this place." He responded. "Yaaas, then it's settled. Nobody is chickening out yet. If you do then I'll kill you myself. Juuuust kidding, I wouldn't dare hurt my squadlings." I said. "But really it reeks. Let's go back up. There's a bunch of other rooms we could be exploring anyhow! Medicine is a bore." I took Jenna's hand and started dragging her back upstairs, Jonathan following and Trenton behind us all, keeping an eye out for anything creepy as a sign to leave. "Giirrrl stop dragging me everywhere!" Jenna said as we made it back up. I shrugged and walked on before the other two got up. Jenna waited for them to come up, which eventually they made it up too. Trenton still seemed rather unsure of what would happen. He knew he didn't want to die in some kind of place like this. Every horror show someone dies in a place like this. Now he was wondering why he even bothered to come along with the squad. I was acting so reckless for some reason, and it made everyone seem a tad worried. Jenna walked up behind me, tapping my shoulder. I turned to look at her, and she spoke up, "Why are you so excited anyhow? It's not like you to be screaming and stuff, what happened to my Isha?" "She found an insane asylum! It's really cool, and I've always wanted to explore one. Sorry if I'm acting weird cause of that. I just feel happy." "Only you would feel happy in a place like this." She punched my arm lightly and smiled. "Pshaa! You guys know me a little too well, don't you?" "I'm just surprised you didn't call the dead body hot."
