Between A roc and a Hard Place.

"Ho-Hope is dead?" Prodigy broke down. He sank to the floor and sobbed into his knees. Roc shook his head as he cried.

"No not Hope." He wiped tears from his face.

"Then what the hell are you talking about?" Prodigy spoke through tears.

"Hope was...she was..Pregnant." Everyone in the room mouth dropped except for Joy. Roc looked up at her. "You knew?"

"She told me a few days ago That she thought she was pregnant.." Joy answered. "She was supposed to stop at the store to get a test on her way home from jogging but..."

"The doctor said he'd let us know when Hope is stable." Roc stated. "She's in very critical condition. The baby took a blow to the head when that nigga beat Hope." Everyone sat in the waiting room crying silently to themselves.

"I hope that nigga is dead." Ray Ray said.

"And if he ain't.. He gon wish he was." Prince nodded.

3hours later. (Midnight)

Everyone had fallen to sleep except Roc. He was sitting in the chair Staring into space. His eyes were bloodshot and bags hung deep below his eyes. He looked exactly how he felt. Miserable. He spoke quietly to himself.

"Please don't leave me Hope." A tear slipped from his eye. "I lost the only piece of you I would still have. I can't loose you too." He cried hard not noticing he had waken someone up.

"Roc?" Bahja said sitting on the floor by his chair. "I'm really sorry for everything I put you through."

"It's cool B." He said looking up at her. "I know you tried to warn her." He forced a smile but his lip quivered and he started to cry again. "I just can't loose her."

"Family of Hope Carter." The Doctor said cutting off his tears. "You can see her now." Roc and Bahja got up and followed the doctor to Hope's room. Roc went in first. He broke down when he saw her bruised body hooked up to a bunch of machines. He laid his head on her chest and sobbed.

"Please baby please. I'll never do wrong again." He cried. "I love you." He kissed her pail lips. "We still have so much to do. You can't leave me." He felt her arm move. Her hand moved up to his curls and she gripped his hair.

"I love you too." She spoke softly.

"Oh fuck! POOCH!!!!" Roc grabbed her face. "Go call somebody."

"Nurse!!" Bahja ran out the room.

"Oh my god. You're awake." He kissed her and she wince in pain.

"Ouch babe I'm still sore." She touched her bandaged stomach and her eyes widened and then grew teary. Roc noticed and grabbed her hand.

"She died." He said softly. Hope covered her mouth and sobbed.

"How did you know it was a girl. It was too soon to tell."

"I just have a feeling." He smiled. "But don't worry about that. All that matters is that you're okay." He kissed her. "And kids." He bit his lip. "We have plenty of time for that."
