Chapter 9: Hidden

RECAP

He finished off with me by asking who saved me. I put my arm around Trevor and said, “This kid.” After that the officer told me to stay while he bombarded Trevor with questions. I was surprised at how calmly he answered each question. I didn’t think he could’ve handled the situation that well. I had to give him props for that.

 

After what seemed like hours the officer let us go and told us to come back the next day for more news. And until then he told us to get the rest of the boys and lock all possible openings to the house, keep the lights off, and hide the cars. We nodded and exited the room.

By then, the whole group was sitting in the hallway on the benches that were there. As Trevor and I were coming out we were both pulled into a huge group hug and immediately rushed home.

*TREVOR’S P.O.V*

Once we got home Kian decided to go and take Ghost (his pennyboard) with him since he was taking the rental van back to the store. We all told him to be extra careful knowing that Ally brother was still looking for us. As all of us were waiting for Kian to get back we decided it would be good to follow the instructions the officer had given us. Let’s see…

1.      Lock the doors.

2.      Shut, lock, and block the windows.

3.      Close off any possible entries into the house.

4.      Make sure no light could be seen from outside the house.

5.      Don’t make any noise, only the TV is acceptable in this case.

Once we had all gone done the steps he gave us we finally relaxed the sofa the living room. The good thing about this house was it had the kitchen when you walked in, the dining room, and the TV room in the back of the house. We all were happy and content about the way the house was built.

Kian hasn’t come back yet. We all were getting worried. Just then, as if on cue, someone knocked on the door. Connor decided to text Kian to see if he was at the door.

*CONNOR’S P.O.V*

I was starting to get worried about Kian. He hasn’t come back in hours. I decided to text him to see if he was okay. Just as I was someone knocked on the front door. Nobody moved. I texted Kian to see if it was him.
