"Earth to Dipstick!" Mabel poked a finger at Dipper's cheek, a wide grin near splitting her face in half. "Haven't you been listening to anything I'm saying?"

He snapped his head up from his notebook, glaring at her without any true malice. You just adapt to her antics after a while. "What, Mabel?"

Her dangly earrings and braces flashed in the sunlight, and she grinned ever wider. A certain type of insanity glinted in her eyes, and Dipper's glare intensified because he knew that look.

"The newbie is a real cutie!"

"Is that so?"

"See for yourself..."

Mabel clasped his cheeks in both hands and turned his head to look. Dipper let her, and his gaze landed on a long-legged boy who seemed to be doing his best to curl into his own personal black hole.

"Isn't he just darling?" Mabel sighed, and if Dipper could recapture his face from her talons he would have rolled his eyes at her.

"He looks pretty terrified, honestly."

The boy was seated on a bench, knees tucked into his chest, and skittish eyes glancing up and down from a magazine in his grasp. He looked determined to be as small and unnoticeable as possible. Problem was, Mabel was attracted to strangers like a magnet. Part of her "charm", Dipper figured.

"No problem bro bro, you and I will show him how welcoming and huggly Gravity Falls can be!" Mabel released his face and posed with her hands on her hips, a girl on a mission.

"Please no."

"You have no choice! Hop to it!"
