"So you coming over, right?"

"Yes A, how many times do I need to say it?" Lianna sighed.

I leaned back on my pillow and readjusted my cell phone onto my ear. "I'm just trying to make sure. I miss you so much and I haven't seen you in forever."

"I miss you too, and that's why I'll be over today, and that way you can fill me in on all the details of your life."

I snorted. "Trust me, you do not want to know the details of my boring life."

"Girl please. You know I live vicariously through you."

I laughed lightly at her serious tone. "You're so sad Lianna."

"Tell me something I don't know." She giggled.

"What about you though? I know you had to have met someone down there."

"Little ol' me?" I could hear her practically grinning through the phone.

That gave me all the proof I needed. Whenever Lianna was seeing someone, I always had to be the one to pry it out of her, but she couldn't fool me. I could tell just by her slightly chipper tone that someone was responsible.

"Mmhm, keep playing with me if you want to."

"Don't worry I'll fill you in on everything later." She laughed.

"Okay girl." I let out a yawn as I stretched my arms and legs out. "I'll see you in a bit."

"Okay, later."

I ended the call and glanced at the time.

9:36.

It was early Saturday morning and I figured by the time I got myself together and threw some clothes on, Lianna would be here. We were supposed to go to the mall and then she was coming back to Darrin's place to eat dinner with us.

I walked over to my unpacked suitcase that sat neatly in the corner of the room and pulled out an oversized grey sweater that hung off the shoulder, and a pair of black leggings. I slid back into my pair of black, Adidas sneakers from last night and headed towards the bathroom to quickly brush my teeth and brush through my curls.

When I was finished I walked back to my room and grabbed my phone off of my nightstand. My eyes raked over the dimly lit screen to see a text from Lianna as expected.

Lia👯: I'm outside rn. Hurry up!

With the roll of my eyes I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs towards the door. I didn't say bye to Darrin because of the simple fact that I knew him, and he was definitely still sleep at this time.

I hadn't seen August this morning so I wasn't sure if he was even here, but I honestly could care less.

I glided through the front door, trying my hardest to silently close it. When I glanced up my eyes took in the familiar sight of Lianna's small, cherry red Audi, and her sitting patiently in the driver's seat.

In a split second I felt my heart warm over. It was quick and brief, but it was the first time in a while where I just felt peaceful and happy, being able to finally see my best friend, my sister. No matter how much I loved Darrin, or how often he was there for me, there was just something about having a sisterly bond with another female that a guy just couldn't top. Whether if it was our late night phone sessions where we would pour over gossip, or countless sleepover movie nights, we had a connection that was just...different than Darrin and I's. It was sisterly, family-like, comforting, and stress free.
