A Swimmer's Tail (Connor Franta)

Chapter 5

**sorry about the last chapter it sucked but things will clear up a little here. Anyways I hope you enjoy as always!!**

**Connor's pov**

She's so beautiful. It hurts sometimes not being able to call her mine. We were sitting on the giant rocks near the ocean since the water was calm and it was the only time you could sit here and not get sucked under the waves. It was sunset, the sky was pink and purple and blue and orange, but it was nothing next to her. I had my arm around her and she had her head on my shoulder, I wish it could be like this all the time. We watched the sun set and started walking back to my car, she didn't live far from the beach but since I had my car I drove her. I parked in front of her house and we sat there for a few seconds in silence, at the same time we turned to each other to say something and laughed. I insisted she go first because I was always curious as to what she had to see.

"Connor I had a really great time today, not like I could ever have a bad time with you."

"Yeah well I had a good time too." I desperately wanted to ask her on a date right now.

"Well thanks for the ride, I'll text you but don't answer until you get home, ok?"

"You know I won't."

We said our goodbyes and she stepped out of my car. All the way home I was yelling at myself for not asking her out, I should've done it. I would ask her over the phone but I want it to be more special than that. I mean I don't want it to seem like I'm desperate but I want her to know how much I really like her when I ask her. I know I said I wouldn't do it because I wasn't sure if she liked me, but I've decided to take the chance and find out. I just need to dive in and do this! Even if she doesn't want to go on a date with me we can still be friends, she isn't the girl to stop talking to a guy because she shot him down. But I'm going to do this, next time I see her I'm going to ask her, it will probably be tomorrow so I really have to prepare myself for this. I can feel the butterflies already.
