The Date (part 1)

I'm sorry this keeps taking soooooo long. School is just a lot to deal with lately, I hope you all understand. And for those who have stayed around this long and still read the story, you're my favorite and I love you. If you ever have any ideas for the story let me know, it would really help. I'm going to start naming the chapters also because it's easier than trying to keep track of how many there actually are lol. We got to the beach not too long after Connor came to pick me up. We grabbed our bags from the trunk and set out, it was a little crowded today, more than usual. After about a good 10 minute jog Connor stopped me for a minute and we let most of the runners ahead of us. I was going to go on but he stopped me and suggested we take another path.

"I've never been that way before, do you know what's back there?" I asked bfore he headed down the hidden path.

"I've been this way before, I came this way a while ago oe day when I got tired of my usual path. I want to show you what's down here."

About half a mile down the path, past all the palm trees and giant flower bushes, there was a cave. It was a giant rock structure. I'd have to say it was a good 15 feet tall at the entrance, it did get smaller as we went in. Not too long after we were inside the cave, I saw an opening. I tried to get in front of Connor but he wouldn't let me. He turned to me and told me his plan.

"Before we go into that opening, you have to put on this blindfold. Don't ask why because it's a surprise. You have to trust me, you trust me right? You're gonna put this over your eyes and I'm gonna lead you down into the cave. I may have set a little something up for us. Of course with the help of a friend. Nowput this on and give me your hand."

It took a little bit of a push, but I finally got herto put the blindfold on. I took her hand and started leading her down. I had to carry her down when the path got steep, when I set her down she tripped and fell into my chest. When I faced her after I caught her, our faces were a lot closer than I thought they'd be. I was tempted to kiss her, I inched closer but stopped myself before it happened. I wanted to be sure that she would let me before I tried anything with her. I got her down to the part of the opening with the little set up. I told her to stay where she was while I made a few last minute adjustments. Once everything was in place and Ricky was on his way out, I told her to take the blindfold off. The look on her face was the most fufilling thing I've ever gotten out of anything I've ever done for anyone.
