To be honest I really don't see it. I think that many people ship these two just because they are echidnas. Now don't start saying that I'm a hypocrite because I ship Knuckles and Tikal.
Tikal is very relaxed and peaceful while Knuckles had a short temper. They fit well together. Plus wasn't Shade fighting against them 90% of the time? I doubt that Knuckles is going to be seeking a relationship with her that quickly. Tikal was infused with chaos in the master emerald. She never died. In the original Sleeping Beauty story Aurora slept for 100 years. She was never considered 116 years old but 16 years old instead. So couldn't she just be her age before being infused in the master emerald?She never really got out of the master emerald and was mostly in a slumber like sleeping beauty so if she was reintroduced in the series there would probably be a more capable chance of her being with knuckles then Shade.
