One of the hunters weren't so gentle with Stiles as they literally gripped him tighter than mine held me, and Stiles said, "Ow, ow, ow, ow," over and over again before pushing him down the stairs, the other hunter standing behind me and holding me by both of my arms so I couldn't fight away.
Then I was pushed down on to the step, but not down them, and I sunk down, grabbing the railing before I fell all the way, and started to turn for the door, but they were already shutting it, locking us in.
I turned to Stiles down at the bottom of the stairs, but barely able to see him because it was so dark in the basement, but I ran down the steps anyway. "Stiles?"
I helped him up from the ground, and he said, "I'm fine. it's you I'm worried about."
"Don't worry about me," I said, and we heard whimpering noises.
I leaned against the wall, fumbling my hand along the wall, looking for the light switch, and when I reached over more, I found it, switching it on.
"Oh, my God," I whispered as I looked at Boyd and Erica, hanging from the ceiling by ropes around their wrist, and duck tape over their mouths.
I walked over to Boyd while Stiles was trying to get to Erica, and Stiles was "Shhhh" ing all of us, and we both started to trying to get them untied.
Erica and Boyd started to mumble, like telling us not to, and I understood why as soon as I touched Boyd's. It was electrified.
"They were trying to warn you it's electrified," we heard Gerard say from the the stairs, walking down.
"What are you doing with them?" Stiles asked.
"At the moment, just keeping them comfortable. There's no point in torturing them, they won't give Derek up. The instinct to protect their Alpha's too strong."
"Okay, so what are you doing with us?" I asked.
"Well, it was only supposed to be Stiles, but I heard you were very stubborn on trying to save your brother, and we all knew you'd go running right to Scott."
"Right," I said.
"Because Scott can find me, all right?" Stiles said. "He knows my scent. It's pungent, you know? Its more like a stench. He could find me even if I was buried at the bottom of a sewer covered in fecal matter and urine."
Ew, I thought.
"You have a knack for creating a vivid picture, Mr. Stilinski," Gerard said, stepping closer the whole time he spoke the next sentences, "Let me paint one of my own. Scott McCall finds his best friend bloodied and beaten to a pulp. How does that sound?"
"I think I might prefer more of a still life or landscape, you know?" I asked. "And plus, I wouldn't let him get hurt even if I ended up dead at the bottom of a well, my corpse being eaten by bugs and crap."
"I see creating the vivid pictures art runs in the family," Gerard said as he stepped closer.
"What--what are you, 90?" Stiles asked. "Look, I can probably kick your ass up and down this room."
When Gerard back handed Stiles all the way to the floor, I started to go after him, but one of the hunters from earlier was holding me back by both of my arms. I fought hard, Boyd and Erica looking from Stiles and Gerard to me and the hunter pulling me back, and I watched as Gerard grabbed Stiles by the shirt of his uniform. "Okay. Wait, wait, wait," he said. Gerard punched him, and he said, "Okay, wait, wait."
Gerard didn't listen, still kicking the ass out of him while I tried to pull away farther from the hunter. "No," I nearly yelled. "Stop!"
A hand covered my mouth so I wouldn't scream anymore, and I shouted through the hand, my outrage muffled, but I couldn't do anything to help Stiles.
