Yifan huffs as he storms away from Zitao's abode, angry with himself. "Really, Yifan? You just had to go and make him cry. Again!" He digs his fingers into his hair and pulls in exasperation before looking down at the ground. He sighs and turns sharply, accidentally knocking into another.
"Oh my-- are you okay?"
That voice...
"Chae?" Yifan blinks, mindlessly helping her up off the ground. "What are you doing here?"
She grins cheekily, nudging his side playfully, "I was looking for you, young prince." She suddenly frowns, "We haven't exactly seen each other for a long time. I miss my best friend."
"If the girls heard you say that, you'd be in deep trouble," Kris grins teasingly, his muscles relaxing from their earlier intensity.
She lets out a hearty laugh and waves her hand dismissively. "They'll survive, I promise."
She grins and holds her hand out for Yifan to take, and he takes it with his own smile.

Back before his parents knew he wasn't interested in women, Baekhyun and Chanyeol were absolutely positive they would marry until they had caught Yifan's eyes wandering to where they shouldn't... on a man. After having a conversation with his parents, it was settled that Chanyeol (or Yifan in the future) would use her as a Carrier for the sake of their blood line.

The crackling of each twig under Kris's earth-callused feet brings him back down to reality as they walk around mindlessly.
"So?"
Yifan looks to her with weary eyes, "So?"
She wiggles her eyes suggestively, "How is.. you know?"
Yifan sighs.
Their moment of catching up had gone so well, and now Yifan is forced to remember just what position he had put himself in.
"Not good?" Chae frowns and gently nudges his side.
Yifan sighs once more and looks to the ground. "I wish I could tell you otherwise."
Chae pokes his side and smiles when Yifan look at her in question, "Hey, you have time. You can fix this."
"I don't think I can, Chae. I've already hurt him so much." Yifan rakes his fingers through his short, blonde hair with a huff.
Chae stops walking, halting their mindless stroll around the woods. "I believe you can make this up to him. But first, try talking to him, and if he doesn't understand how you feel, than fuck him."
"Chae!" Yifan frowns sternly.
She gives a short smile, "See, you still care enough to defend him."
Yifan falls silent and looks to the ground once more. He sighs without answering and finds a place to rest against the nearest tree. Without realizing it, he reclines to relax, but he falls onto his back instead. The tall man flails in panic and immediately shoots up, only to smack his head against the tree's bend.
Chae laughs loudly at his fail, scaring the nested birds nearby and sending them to fly to safety. Yifan blushes at his failed attempt and hides his face with his hands.
"Aww, Fannie! It's okay, I'll only tell everyone!" She laughs harder and clutches her hands to her stomach.
"You better not." Yifan pouts childishly before a smile of his own creeps up on his face, and he joins in on her laughter.
