Black lake and moonlight

*1976*

"Siri wake up." Elena whispered to the night. Two tired grey eyes fluttered and slowly opened. He turned his head to the right.

"El? What the hell are you doing here?! It's... "he took a look at his watch. 

"Two in the morning?! Are you kidding me?"he groaned at his redhead friend who was innocently smiling at him. "Why are waking me up in freaking two in the morning?" he asked while rubbing his eyes with back of his hand and sitting up. Elena sighed and sat next to him.

"I can't sleep Siri. I tried to sleep but it didn't work."

Sirius looked at her. Her eyes were shining in the moonlight from the outside and her hair were sparkling like the little flames. 'She's beautiful.' he thought and start thinking what to do to cheer her up. An imaginary lightbulb switched on above his head. He stood up and reached his hand toward Elena. A confused look spread across her face.

"Come on El. We're going for a little walk." he winked at her. Elena grinned and grabbed his hand.

15 minutes later

Elena was grinning like five years old on Christmas while jumping and running around chuckling Sirius. He just shook his head at her behavior.

"Hey! Slow down you little chipmunk!" he laughed but Elena just stuck her tongue at him. "How, for Merlin's sake, can you be so energic in freaking two in the morning?" he shouted at her.

"How couldn't I? I'm a night owl person Paddy! You know me all my life and you know what is moon doing with me." she giggled and her gaze trailed toward shivering silver crescent. She was looking at it in amazement. Sirius used that moment. He quietly walked toward her and hugged her from behind. She jumped a little but when she realized it was Sirius, she immediately relaxed.

"It's so beautiful Paddy." she awed at moon reflecting on Black lake's surface.

"It is. But..." he looked down at the little redhead in his arms. "...I see something more beautiful right here." he whispered into her ear. She cheeks flushed in deep shade of red which caused Sirius to grin. He slowly turned her to face him but her head was still down.
He lifted her chin with his finger and looked into pair of chocolate orbs.

"Ever since we were little kids I wanted to tell you one thing."he whispered, closed his eyes and leaned slowly forward until their lips were nearly touching. He rested his forehead against hers. His heart was beating in his chest like a hammer. Same with Elena. Her mind was blind, her breath hitched, her eyes were nearly closed and only thing she could think was Sirius.

"I love you." he leaned in and kissed Elena. He had to bent down but he didn't regret it. I was like a firework. So surprising and so magical.

After what seemed like a few seconds they pulled apart but Sirius hugged her tightly. She gave in and relaxed in his arms, grinning to herself.

"I love you Howly. To the moon and back."
