Y/N! Y/N??!! Y/n are you awake yet? I woke up hearing someone banging on my door. I groaned, "Who is it?..." "Y/n it's me Garroth today's your guard training since last time it was interrupted by the war so it's today." He said. I replied as I got up, "Ok I'll be right there at the guard tower just give me 10 minutes getting ready."

"Alright cya there!" He said and left. I dressed up normally and quickly had breakfast then head to the guard tower right away! Man I was excited. As I got there, Laurance, Dante, and Garroth were already armored and ready. They showed me my armor and sword as I putted them on.

"Alright, so first you'll have to fight agents us. So it would be you vs. me Dante, and Laurance it will help us see how good is your combat." Garroth said. I nodded as we got ready in position. "Ready set GO!" Screamed Laurance as they charge towards me. I dodged all of them and manage to sneak behind Dante's back and pin him down. "1 down 2 more to go." I said to myself.
At the corner of my eye I saw Garroth charging towards me. I did a back flip and charged to him as our swords clashed. I tripped him with my leg as he fell and I pinned him to the ground as well. One more to go. I looked around to finish the last one, but Laurance was nowhere to be found. I didn't pay enough attention as he snook up behind me and pinned ME into the ground.

"Ugh..I was so close!" I complained. He smiled. "You were amazing don't stretch it. Welcome to the guards or whatever this group is called!" Laurance said. We all smiled. They gave me proper armor now and a Mythril sword. I thanked them as they gave me a schedule if guard duty. Aphmau and the others congratulated me as I told them. I guess I had been stronger since I became a shadow knight, how long was that ago? I think it was almost a week since I had been.

5 days to be exact which means you get to marry Zane in 2 days YAY! Wait what?.... Then I remembered. I declined the mission and didn't complete it. Which means Zane and my father will attack soon again. Wasn't Malain invaded where did all the people go? Ok'hasis duh! There a alliance of course! Grr....stop back talking me just do what you were doing before you talked in. I was...hmm....I was reading Laurance X Reader fanfics hehe fine but I'm coming back...once again...

5 days.... I had 5 days I better warn the others. I zoomed to Lord Aphmau's house to tell her. "Aph......Aphmau....I need to tell you something....very....important..." I said between breathes. "What is it? You seemed to be stressed out.' She replied with a frown. I explain what I remembered to her at least all I know. "It's all my fault..." I said blaming myself. "No it isn't Y/n... We're cousins after all that's what they are for." Aphmau said.

"W-Wait??!! Your my cousin?! How come I never remembered!? Elijah never told me! Heck he didn't even come back after the incident!" I complained. "Woah woah woah, come down. Y/n since you disappeared into the nether, I saw our relative Lady Irene in a vision and she told me many things I never knew either. In fact, your VERY important so we do NOT want to loose you. That's why I'm doing all I could to protect you. Your a princess and a descendant like me." Aphmau explained.

"B-But I'm just a shadow knight with dark magicks...." I said, not understanding. She hugs me. " Y/n...it doesn't matter what type of monster you are....your not even a monster, what am I saying? Just remember, you are the most important to not just me, but to everyone." She said. "T-Thank you Aphmau that meant a lot." She smiled. "No problem! Now I will let everyone us know about the attack so they are prepared for war once again, your should get some rest." I nodded and left.

I checked the time. It was about time for my afternoon guard duty so I went on patrol. Aphmau soon quickly told everyone so there will be no surprise when they attack. I seriously didn't want to marry Zane. In fact, I didn't want to marry anyone! I was lost in my thoughts once again that I didn't even look where I was going. I crashed into someone.
"Gah!"I screamed as I crashed into someone. I apologized right away. " I-I'm so SO very sorry, I didn't look where I was going please forgive me I--"Woah, woah, woah, Y/n it's just me, Laurance."

"L-Laurance? I asked looking up. "Oh my Irene your scared me I didn't know it was you." I said, trying to get up.He offered me a hand and I took it and felt myself heat up. "Wow am I so hot that every time you see me or even touch me you have to blush?" Laurance said smirking. "W-What? N-No-- I- um- Laurance! Don't bring it up ok?" I said flustered.
He laughed and I smiled nervously. "Hey, Y/n?" He asked.

"Yes Laurance?" I said as our eyes met. He looked like he wanted to ask me something VERY important but gave up. "N-Never Mind I'll tell you another time."  "A-Alright." I answered. Then it went awkwardly quiet. "S-Say..do you wanna go sparring for a while? Your shift is almost done anyways." "Sure!" I answered and we headed to a area with plenty of trees a perfect place for sparring.

"This time, I'm beating you!" I said and smiled. "In your dreams!" He laughed. I charged at him first this time, he dodged it quickly. Our sword met together holding still for a very long time, until I made a move strong enough to hit the sword out of his hands and held my sword to his throat. "Heh alright you win, looks like you grown stronger." He said. "Pft, I, stronger than I look." I said as we rested.

I was about to remove my sword from him throat until I tripped all a suddenly and slightly landed on him. I blushed madly as our face were inches apart  . "I-I'm s-so sorry." I apologized while getting up. He held me down. His grip was too strong for me to get away. "H-Hey! L-Let go of me!" I command. "Not until you admit you like me." He teased. "I don't!" I said back. He stayed put not letting me go.

"Fine you wanna play the hard way?" I said smiling evilly. I morphed into a Lin'si and flew out of his grip. "Hey, you cheated! He said laughing while giving up. "Hehehe you asked for it so..." "Hey, it's getting late May I escort you home?" He asked. "Sure!" I replied as we walked. The sun was truly going down.
Laurance walked with me all the way to my bed room and tucked me to bed like my parent. "Thanks 'Dad'. "I joked as he placed the blankets around me. "Night." He said getting up to leave. "Wait!" I shouted before he left. "Yes Y/n?" He asked calmly.
