You break your kiss with Dan and stare at his face in the dark. It's hard to see his expression, but you can see the glimmer of light reflecting from the street lamps outside his window off the fresh tears that had rundown his face. He moves his hand out from inside your sweatshirt to remove the strands of hair that had fallen in your face. "You know, y/n. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you so so much." Dan says softly. The house is silent but in the moment, it seems that the only good way to talk is in whispers. "Are you kidding?" You respond. "I would be lost without you. You're the only reason I get up in the morning." Dan blushes at the thought of someone actually really caring about him as much as Phil. Before you had showed up, it seemed as if no one was there for him. No one actually knew how much he hurt.
