It seems like an eternity before the director stops talking. You find yourself yawning softly, and beginning to fall asleep, only to be awoken once in a while by even more of Jodie's sharp kicks. After what feels like years, but was most likely only half an hour, the director finishes his speech, and stands quickly. "I know our meeting has only been brief, but I really need to go. The script is just a scene off being finished, and I need to proof-read what's been done so far." He turns, and marches out of the room, shoving his way through two heavy doors. You look over at Jodie. "You better be heading home, now, (Y/N). Big day ahead of you tomorrow!!" She exclaims, as excited as ever. You nod slowly. "Yeah, I guess I do...." It's only nine. You've always hated early nights. Jodie smiles even more, and mentions something about a romantic dinner with her husband before running out. Then falling over. Then getting up. And finally running out. You make to follow her, but you're stopped in your tracks by a voice behind you. A voice that you recognise, from all those movies, all those interviews, all of those behind-the-scenes YouTube specials.
"Hey, is that a phone in your back pocket?"
You turn around to see Dave. His hands are in his jean pockets as he speaks to you, looking a little concerned. You realise that your phone is in your front pocket, not the back.
"No, wh-"
"Because that ass is callin' me!"
He smirks as your face turns red. You should of seen that coming, it's the oldest line in the book. He steps a little closer to you. "(Y/N), right?"
You nod quickly, still flustered from that God awful pick-up line.
"Well, (Y/N), it'll be interesting working with you" He walks through the doors, waving.
"See ya' round then!"
As soon as he's gone, you check that no ones there. Then, you let out every Fangirl that has built up inside of you since you first came into the room in a loud squeal. Not only are you working with Dave Strider, but he used a terrible, pick up line. On you. This job couldn't get any better.
