"How did you know where I would be?" I ask breaking our kiss.
"I was mostly just guessing but I thought you would come check out your parents experiments but I didn't know you where here until I saw you and that's when I tackled you." He says laughing.
"How did you know where this place ways anyways?" I ask giggling.
"I used to come here all of the time." He says.
"I haven't come here in a long time and I forgot what's inside" I say. We both get up from the floor and walk over to a huge crystal in the middle of the floor. "Who's that?"
"Some lady named Maria. I think it's who Levi was trying to avenge by killing your family." Eren says.
"My parents told me about her once."
We both stay quiet and we walk through the lab, looking at all the little papers everywhere and the filing scattered in the corners. I can't help but look in every corner of the room, this place is a mess. I can't believe they kept that woman in here. This place is still amazing with its glass roof and the colour of the crystal filling the room.
Eren's P.O.V
"Hey Eren, how do you open this thing?" Mikasa asks pointing at the casing around the crystal.
"I have no idea, I think my parents told me something about a button being on the side but only a certain person can open it and when they press the button their body explodes and their blood shoots everywhere." I say feeling like that it didn't help.
"Cool! I think that I should mess around with the buttons and see if I can open it safely." She says with a smirk on her face. Mikasa then runs over to the control panel, stepping on the tile plate and she starts pressing buttons. "Hey Eren I think I'm opening it!"
"No Mikasa don't! You'll explode, remember. Just stop what you're doing." I call running to her panicking. I'm too late. The floor starts rising from under her. I drop to my knees, staring up at her in shocking, just hoping what I was told isn't true. She blankly looks down at me as she keeps rising. Suddenly a clear casing goes over her and traps her inside. I'm screaming , tears running down my face, I will never see her again.
"3" A count down starts. "2......1." A huge flash of light flies through the room and a big bang pushing me back a little distracts me from Mikasa. My heart is racing and my ears are ringing. Is Mikasa alright, where is she. I can't see her. The light clears up and all that I can see is blood spattered where Mikasa used to be.
"She's gone." I whisper to myself, tears falling down my face. I wait for the crystal to open but nothing happens. "She died for nothing!" I scream. I turn my back to the scene and I start walking away. The floor starts rumbling as a loud screech burst through the air. I turn around in surprise to see a giant, human looking, monster. It looks confused for minutes before it spot the crystal and it picks it up, ripping it out of the ground. A flash of light shines through the room, making it unbearable to see so I cover my eyes. It's getting harder to breath. I open my eyes to see more smoke than light and I wait until the smoke clears up. Amongst shattered pieces of crystal on the ground are two dark haired figures. I run down hoping one of them is Mikasa. I get to them to see an older lady that looks around 20 with long, dark grey hair and who is very tall. I try to open the woman's eyes to see blue crystal like eyes but she still doesn't move. I check her pulse, her heart is beating regularly. I let out a sigh of relief and I move onto the next person. I stand up and walk over to the next person nervously. I kneel down and turn the person over to see Mikasa. She's unconscious but it's definitely her. "Mikasa, Mikasa wake up." I shake, her crying. She's so still. I put my head on her stomach and just let my tear free.
"You're such a cry baby."
I look up to see Mikasa with her eyes open. "I thought you died." I cry.
"I thought I was going to die." Mikasa says.
"What happened?" I ask.
"One second I was looking at you and the next I was a giant. Since I went through all of that I didn't know what else to do so I picked up the crystal. After that I don't really know what happened." She says getting up. She looks around and walks over to the other woman.
"Wake up." Mikasa whispers. The woman's eyes flutter open and she start panicking.
"Calm down miss." I say.
"Where am I?" She asks scared. "Where's my baby?" She cries.
"You were inside a giant crystal, we didn't see a baby with you. How long have you been in there for?" Mikasa says calmly.
"15 years." I interrupt.
"What happened?" Mikasa asks.
There was a long pause and a confused look came across her face."It all started when I was in university with my sister and we both met this guy named Levi. We both had a crush on him for a long time but he chose me over her. She became furious with me and used me for her experiment. After a year of dating Levi, I became pregnant with his child. At this time my sister had met someone so I thought she wasn't mad at me anymore but I was wrong. My sister and I were now both going to marry Ackerman boys but there was one problem, she couldn't conceive. After I gave birth, my sister stole my baby girl from me and she stabbed me in the chest. Then next thing I know I'm here with you." Maria says. I look over to Mikasa, realizing that Maria is here mother. The three of us stay quiet and no words are spoken between us.
"Levi killed your sister and his brother." Mikasa says, ignoring the fact that Maria is her mother. "He thinks you're dead."
"Oh my god. Where is he? What happened?"
"He slaughtered them in their home. He should be at home right now. I'll walk you there." Mikasa says.
They both get up and we all walk up the long staircase. I turn the corner to be faced with a loaded gun.
