Rhea made her way back to the cabin, where Davina and Kaleb stood, anxiety written all over their faces. The moment they saw her tear-streaked cheeks and disheveled appearance, their concern deepened.

But Rhea's tears weren't from sadness; they were from the seething anger simmering inside her—an anger that drove her to take Klaus down as soon as possible.

"Rhea, what happened?" Davina asked gently, stepping toward her and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Rhea shook her head, shrugging off Davina's touch as she cleared her throat, a sudden realization striking her. Panic settled in.

She clutched her bracelet. "Mikael? Mikael?" she muttered under her breath, glancing down at the piece of jewelry. "It's not working." Her breathing quickened, and her friends immediately sensed the shift in her energy.

Kaleb stepped in, guiding her to a chair. "Sit down for a second, alright? You were out there a long time, and whatever happened with that guy probably has something to do with this." His voice was calm and reassuring, knowing she didn't need to be overwhelmed right now.

Davina handed Rhea a glass of water. "Here, drink this."

Rhea shook her head again, pushing the glass away. "Davina, if Mikael's loose, he'll kill Klaus. And that means... your friends die too."

The weight of her words hit Davina like a punch to the gut. "Oh no..." she whispered, her eyes wide with the realization of the danger they were in.

Kaleb, who had been silently absorbing their exchange, finally spoke. "So, if I'm getting this right, Mikael's been after Klaus for centuries. How are you two supposed to stop him?"

"We're not," Davina said, exchanging a determined glance with Rhea. "We finish the spell."

Rhea nodded, her voice steely. "Now."

As they prepared for the spell, Rhea and Davina poured over the notes pinned to the walls while Kaleb sifted through scattered papers littered across the cabin.

Kaleb's voice broke the silence. "Maybe we should slow down. This looks... complicated."

"We have everything we need," Rhea said, her voice lacking its usual warmth. Kaleb and Davina hadn't missed the way her hands had been trembling ever since she returned.

"We'll combine the knotting spell with the sire-bond spell," Rhea murmured, staring intently at their notes. "We just have to get the combination right."

Kaleb raised an eyebrow, stepping toward her. "Doing that in reverse is tricky, especially for two young witches. And you're not exactly in top form right now." His tone softened at the last part, trying not to upset her.

Rhea shot him a look, snatching the paper from his hands. "I could give you a list of people who've underestimated me. None of them made that mistake twice."
