I sat in a drab room, the snow dome as I call it and looked up to the ceiling as I sat on the maroon coloured chair, book in hand as I waited for my father to complete the paperwork with our agent.
My frizzy orange hair landed softly on my left shoulder as I saw my father. He was holding keys and shaking hands with a blonde haired lady who looked just about 40 or so. Her eyes were a dull gray colour and small wrinkles formed around her mouth and said the words "thank you, enjoy your new home" he wore long black pants that fit tightly around her ankles and a puffy white blouse that looked much too white to exist.
As my dad made his way over to me I closed my book, forgetting to mark the page. "No problem" I thought. That's the great part about having a photographic memory.
I found the page once again and made sure to mark it with my black polka dotted bookmark as I slid it into a small tattered shoulder bag that reached from one shoulder to another and dropped to about waist length.
My dad smiled at me as he sat down beside me. "So you bought it?" I asked dimly ,scratching my hand.
"Yeah, all the paperwork is done and-" I cut him off
"Can nixx come with us?" I whisper yelled as I put on the biggest smile I thought possible. (Nixx is my Persian cat. He is black and has two different coloured eyes, one blue and one brown, exactly like mine)
Matheus thought for a while and decided that this would make her slightly happier about the situation."I guess so"
"Woo-hoo" I didn't contain my excitement but quietly sat down as I noticed a few glares from workers and clients.
"Woo-hoo" I whispered, bringing my excitement to a minimum.
My dad chuckled and we both walked out of the small building.
"How bout some ice-cream to celebrate?"
"I'm not five dad for your information, I'm almost 15"
He chuckled "more for me then"
They stopped at a dairy queen. The door jingled as the father and daughter walked in. A girl with long black hair ran up to belle and wrapped her arms tightly around her best friends shoulders. "We're really going to miss you" Nelly said as she pointed to the other two girls and one boy at the table.
"I'm going to miss you too" I said teary eyed as I returned the hug to my friend.
I had been too busy to notice that my dad was ordering a large caramel sundae that made my mouth water just looking at it. I ran over to ask if I could have one too.The friends stayed there until around eight o'clock chatting about different subjects , school , visiting belle at her new home someday and even boys, which made Adam quiet as he was the only boy in the conversation.
The night ended with Belle walking home with Adam as her father had left to begin packing at five and Adam was her neighbor."I'm really going to miss you bucket" belle said with a chuckle. She called him that because he used to pour buckets of water on her from his balcony as she would pass by in the summer. Now they were best friends.
"Yeah, who is going to help me film my stupid movies huh?" He smirked turning to the redhead.
"I didn't agree to this just saying" Belle retorted
"No but it Will be cool cuz then I'll have an excuse to visit you then."
Belle blushed and turned to the blonde haired friend. She looked into his green eyes and saw his bright smile fade. "What's wrong?" he asked
"I discovered that our house might not be the happy place we want it to be. There were many people buying but then quickly selling the house because of its strange occurances."
"And you, the bravest girl ever, are going to let some stupid old house take control of your feelings?" Adam smiled sympathetically. Belle looked down to her red converse, now stained with dirt and grime.
"Guess so..." She looked back up at him. And as she did he grabbed her hands , leaned in and kissed her.Hey guys,so hope y'all enjoy ed so far and stay tuned for another chapter soon. This is my first book on here and I know it won't be my last. Tootles
