Kat's POV
Sam and I have been together for two years and we just got married last week. We've just been laying low and taking a break for while in Lawrence, Kansas at the bunker. "Can anyone tell me why we have no salads or fruits?" I asked checking the fridge.
"What's all in there?" Dean asked.
"Your pies," I replied as I closed the fridge. "I'm going to run to the store." I walked to the living room and grabbed my keys and jacket. "I'll be back, Sam."
"Where you going?" Sam asked.
"I'm going to the store to buy food," I replied. "We only have pies in the fridge."
"I'll come with," Sam smiled. We drove to a park and I parked the car there. We got out and started walking. "Why didn't we go straight to the store?"
"I wanna stay away from home a bit longer," I nodded. Sam grabbed my hand. "I don't know what's going on right now."
"You really don't?" Sam asked as he put his arm around me. "We're having an afternoon together at the park."
"Excuse me," said a guy as he walked up to us. "My name is Fousey. And you are?"
"Katherine," I replied as I shook his hand.
"Who's this with you?" Fousey asked.
"This is my husband," I replied.
"Oh, your husband?" Fousey asked. I nodded. "Oh, okay. Uhm, well, I'm not trying to pick you up or anything but I just thought you are really beautiful and I wanted to give you this." He handed me a pink rose and I smiled. "You have a beautiful smile and that's all I wanted to see today. I'm just wanting to see others happy."
"Well, thank you," I nodded. Fousey started walking away. "Hey, wait." I walked up to him and gave him a hug. "You are an amazing person who sees a lot of love in the world."
"I'm just wanting to make the world a better place," Fousey replied. Sam walked up to us. "That's all I want to do."
"You're a youtube star, aren't you?" I asked.
"Yeah, there's my camera man right there," Fousey pointed. We looked. "I thank you because not one person has every said so many words to me in one scene."
"Really?" I asked. "Well, my husband trusts me, so I'm going to give you my card." I handed him my card with a number that Dean doesn't know. "If you need help in your videos or anything at all, just let me know. It's what I'm here for."
"Really?" Fousey asked.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"This alright with you?" Fousey asked Sam.
"It's alright with me," Sam nodded.
"Okay, brother, that's cool," Fousey nodded. "I'll call you when I need help in a video."
"Alright," I nodded. Fousey smiled and walked away. "I think I just made his day."
"Well, he made yours by giving you a rose," Sam nodded. I grabbed his hand and started walking. "I just want to see you happy."
"Sam, you make me happy," I replied as I stopped him. I stood in front of him. "What makes you think you don't?"
"I don't know," Sam replied. "Fear?"
"Fear of what?" I asked. "Sam, we've been together for two years and we've almost died. You cannot tell me that's not love." I looked at him. "Look at me." Sam did. "I don't know what to tell you but I'm telling you. Everything I've done and been through with you, it's because I love you."
"I can't lose you like I did Jessica," Sam nodded.
"Sam, Jessica wasn't a hunter like I was," I replied. "I had gotten myself out of a few tight scrapes. Don't do this to me now."
"Kat, it's not only that," Sam replied. "The fact that you won't have a normal life is killing me. What happens if we have a child? What are we going to do? I'm pretty sure you don't want them growing up in this." I looked at him. "Katherine, you can be serious."
"I don't want them growing up being a hunter," I replied. "But we can't stop life from happening. Sam, this is all we can do. We can't do no more than this."
"Now you're scaring me," Sam replied. "What's going on?"
"I thought I could do this but I can't," I nodded. I put my hand over my mouth and walked away. Sam stopped me and grabbed both of my hands. "Sam, stop."
"Kat, what's going on?" Sam asked.
I looked at him with tears in my eyes. "Sam, I'm pregnant," I replied. Sam's expression changed from serious to shocked but worried. "See, this is why I couldn't tell you." I kept walking. "I knew this would happen eventually but not like this."
"Katherine, why didn't you tell me sooner?" Sam asked.
"Because I knew this is how you would react," I nodded. "I can't keep doing this to you."
"Katherine, you're not doing anything to me," Sam replied as he stopped me again. "Hey, stop. Where are you going?"
"Sam, you can fake the joys of us having a child but I know deep down this isn't how you wanted our child to turn out. So, just please, stop. I don't care how happy you pretend to me. You can't lie to me about your emotions and you know that."
"I'm happy that we're having a kid, yes, but no, I'm not happy that they're going to grow up having this life."
"See, and that's the problem." I looked at Sam. "I meant what I said about wanting to have a normal life. Wanting for my kids to grow up not knowing about this hunting stuff."
"And we can still do that," Sam looked at me.
"How?" I asked as a tear fell.
"We'll run away," Sam nodded. "That's what we'll do. We'll run away."
"You can't run from your brother," I replied.
"I'll leave my cell with a note that way he won't find us," Sam replied. "We'll start all over again. Anywhere you wanna go. Anywhere you want to stay." Sam grabbed my hands and pulled me close. "You'll be all I need in life and our little munchkin." I put my hand on her stomach. "Okay? You two are the only ones I need."
"Sam," I sighed as I looked at him. "Let's run away." We went to the bunker and packed all of our clothes. "We have to wait for Dean to leave."
"I got that covered," Sam replied.
"Alright," I sighed. "Let's do this for real, then."
