I'm Leaving

I shoved my clothes inside of my suitcase

with tears rolling down my face

and onto the sleek white flooring.

Dear Cody,

Today is going to be the day

that I leave you.

I'm so sick of it--

Your cheating,

then your kisses,

then your cheating,

and then your kisses

over and over again.

"But I love you!"

you screamed to me

during one of our fights.

"Prove it!" I screamed back to you that night.

"I will!"

And you never did,

just more cheating.

I have tried,

and tried again

to learn to cope with you

and the player in you.

You two don't fit together

in one body.

Please, Cody, I beg of you,

don't break other girls' hearts like

you did with mine.

I'll miss you.

-M.

I shoved the suitcase shut

and rolled it out of the house

without looking back.
