By the time I got home, it was already midnight and I couldn't sleep! All I could think about was the events that happened earlier tonight.

Poor Marcel. I really felt for him, I know what it's like. To feel like everything would be so much better if you were gone. I thought about running away so many times growing up. Liam never let me though...
I don't think I ever thanked him for that.
Without thinking, I dialed his number and pressed my phone to my ear.

"Alex? Is everything okay?" He answered instantly.

"Y-Yeah. I'm sorry to bother you." I stuttered.

"It's fine," he groaned. He must have been sleeping, "What is it, love?"

"I was just thinking, and I just wanted to thank you." I explained.

"For?"

"For being by my side through everything that happened with my dad." My voice cracked and I knew I was about to cry, "You saved my life."

Liam gave a slight chuckle, "You're welcome. Thank you for sticking by my side too."

I wiped my eyes and frowned.
God I'm such a girl!
"You're welcome. I love you Liam."

"I love you too."

"Liam, when are you leaving?" I asked.

"I'm leaving in a few days." he answered.
I started crying again. I couldn't hold it in!!!
"Alex are you sure you're okay? I'm worried."

"Yes, I'm fine! I'm just freakin hormonal okay?!" I sniffled.

"Oh, I see." he laughed.

"Yep, I'll just let you go to sleep. I just wanted to let you know that." I laughed through my tears.

"Ok, goodnight babe."

"Goodnight."

---

"Alex." someone whispered, "Alex!"

"Hmmm?" I groaned and sat up.

"Good morning, princess." Liam smiled.

"Liam?!" I examined, jumping up out of bed, "How'd you get in here?"

"I have my ways." he smirked.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you're a delinquent!"

"Your mom let me in." he laughed, "Now get up, I'm taking you to school today."
Getting out of bed, I stumbled a bit to find my balance.
"Been drinking again?"

"Shut up, I'm exhausted." I snapped and grabbed some clothes, "Now get out I'm changing."

"I've seen you naked before, Alex. It's not a big deal." He teased.

"That was when I was sixteen, and underdeveloped." I chuckled.

He nodded, looking at me up and down, "Puberty does some amazing things."

"Get out." I laughed and shoved him.

"Fine, fine." he replied and walked out of my room.

After I was finished, I walked out of my room and linked my arm with his as we walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Who's this?" Dave asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"This is Liam, he's an old family friend." mom explained, "Liam, meet my husband, Dave."

"Nice to meet you." Liam said and shook his hand, "I'll be taking Alex to school today."

"Okay, well it was good to meet you." Dave nodded and got back to reading the newspaper.
