Forgiven but Not Forgetten

Part Three

"Who are you people?" Aaron growled. They ignored his question. 

"Let me guess, your Katelyn, Laurance, Travis, and Aaron," Ross pointed to each corresponding person, correcting matching them with their names. 

"How do you know our names?" Katelyn inquired. They ignored her.

"You mean, Tsundere Katelyn, Casanova Laurance, Pervert Travis, and Lord Aaron," Adam corrected.

"Or theres also, Lady Katelyn, Shadow Knight Laurance, Demon Travis, and Wise Aaron," Ross added. 

"HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?!?" Travis shouted at them. 

Thats what I wanna know....! Unless-

"Simple! We went through our friends diary," Jin smirked. I mentally facepalmed. 

I knew it! 

Laurance charged at him, mad. I did the only thing i could. I turned human and blocked his attack. He looked at me, our swords clashed together. "Deja vu much?" I smirked. He was dumbfounded. I pushed him back. "Im not gonna fight you," I said, sheathing my sword. 

"APHMAU!?!" Aaron gasped. "Hel~lo! Its my name. Dont wear it out," I joked for a second. 

But Laurance tackled me into a hug. I stiffened, my shoulder getting soaked from his tears. 

He pulled away, staring into my eyes. "What happened?" His hand grazed my purple eye. Heh... "Tried to open Irenes Realm," I shrugged. 

I grabbed Laurances hand and brought it down, but didnt let go. His eyes begged me for words. 

"Laurance...." I croaked, "It hurt..... Your words.... It felt like I was being stabbed repeatedly. I cannot describe how much or how long I cried. Then there's Garroth....... wh-who died in my arms. Its come to the point, I cant cry..... Your words, 'I will never trust the likes of you' kept me up at night. Kept me thinking, 'did he mean it?'. It just hurts."

I dropped his hand. 

He was shocked. 

They all were. Well, everyone but Ross, Adam, and Jin. 

I turned to walk away. He grabbed my wrist. 

"A-Aphmau, we didnt know it was you. You cant leave," He said, his voice desperate.

"I know that... but I cant live with the worry it will happen again. I cant live here... I just-..." I drifted off. 

"I-I wont let you," He demanded. His grip tightened ever so slightly. I sighed.

"Im sorry," I whispered.

"For what?" He asked, his voice breaking.

"Im breaking our promise. Im going somewhere you cant protect me."

I gave a saddened smile. I felt tears press at my eyes. 

I turned. Now facing him. 

"Aphmau..." Katelyn whispered.

"We need you..." Travis continued.

"Please..." Aaron finished. 

My eyes locked with each one of them for a second.

My smile was still saddened. 

Tears still threatening to spill. 

"Please...." Laurance whispered the words Aaron had just spoken.   

I gently pulled my hand away from his grasp.  

I watched his pale blue eyes gloss over. 

I watched glistening tears fall from them.

I watched him collapse to his knees. 

His whole body shook as he silently cried. 

I turned back to my friends. 

They had the same saddened look as me.

The pressure on my eyes faded as we exchanged nods.

We began walking away.

I heard Laurances cries for me.

And it took a lot to ignore them.

After all, I've changed;

I've forgiven

But not Forgotten...
