Forgiven but Not Forgetten

Part Two

1 1/2 years later

I poured teh cereal into the bowl. Next came milk. And finally some berries. I grabbed a spoon adn went over to the couch. I sat down and opened my book. 

A few minutes later, a bombardment of 3 people came down the stairs. Jin. Adam. Ross. 

"Whatcha' reading?" Ross asked, sitting next to me with an apple. 

"Midnight," I said, looking up. He nodded. 

Jin and Adam came over with their own food. We ate and chatted. I retold teh story of my "love" for Table.

"Aph, can we explore today?" Ross asked. I laughed. 

"You know im not your mom, right?" I pointed out. He chuckled. "I know, but-..... you're all we have. We were all orphans and honestly, none of us can clean or defend liek you. Sure we can fight, but its no where as good as you. You're like our big sister. And you're more than that to one of us," He glanced at the others. "Thanks," I smiled. 

"Let me get ready and okay," I nodded. I put my dishes in the sink and went upstairs. I slipped my book onto my desk. I opened my wardrobe and pulled out my blue shirt and magenta satchel. 

I finished getting on my clothes and looked at myself in my mirror. 

My hair was as messy as it always was. But the left side of my face was still black. And my left eye was still purple. I sighed and thought for a moment. {picture above}

But when i closed my eyes, i could almost hear Garroths voice. He would say something like "You look beautiful". And I would blush. "Nevermind, go back to your introverted self" I would reply. He would chuckle. 

"APHMAU! Its been 25 minutes! Are you almost done?" Adams voice silenced Garroth and Mine's conversation. I opened my eyes to see I was alone. And I remembered- Garroth died in my arms. 

I straightened myself. 

But when I closed my eyes, I could almost feel Laurance's arms wrapped around my shoulders. Engulfing me in a hug. Telling me he was worried about me since I had left to practice with Aaron all day. His hands pinning me to a tree when I wanted to kill Michi. His words saying he should kiss me but wasnt gonna be that selfish. 

"Aphmau! Jins coming in!" Ross snapped me back. I brought my eyes to open. Laurances hands vanished and I was alone. And I remembered his words- "I will never trust the likes of you."

I opened teh door just in time. "Finally!" They whined in unison. I giggled.

We walked into the forest and changed into our animals. Adam → Wyvren. Ross → Dungeon Beast. Jin → Dragon. Me → Cat. 

We ran and played through the forest, Ross leading the way. I tackled Jin's tough scales. He whipped me off. I flew onto Ross. He laughed and I climbed my way to the top of his head. We walked on. 

After some aimless walking and wandering through a portal

We stopped in a clearing. Something about the place was familiar but I couldn't place it. 

Immediately, Adam tackled Jin. Ross went off to the side to play ref.- like always. I on the other hand, jumped right into the fight. I kicked Adam. JIn threw me off to the side. It was just like a giant game of King of the Hill. 

I wasnt paying attention and Jin roared loudly, sending a stream of fire into teh air. I looked. He had won. I laughed as he and Adam collapsed onto the ground, exhausted. 

Our happiness was cut short as 4 people jumped out. Swords drawn. A bluenette woman. A brunette man. A snow haired man. A ravenette man. I was dumbfounded. But it didnt hurt...

Adam, Jin, and Ross got ready to fight. "NO!" I meowed, sliding between them. "Its the imp we found the day Aphmau disappeared," Travis snarled. 

"This is them," I meowed to my friends. Jin and Ross turned human. "Oh! Nice to meet you!" Ross smiled, waving. Adam turned human. "We've heard lots about you!" Adam said.
