I miss Andy. My heart is broken. The way she kissed me with that sunset. The way she talked to me. A lot can happen in a few weeks. She could die, leave us, the government could kill her. I feel the thing she felt. I want her back. Jax missed her too, not as much as I did. We miss having a girl around so I was able to have Raelyn come hangout with us as a replacement for Andy.
I sat at our dinner table. The hard wood table held the rabbit I killed and some milk jugs. I sat on the end while my grandpa and sister sat in the middle. It was silent so I wanted to make conversation. "Andy left."
"Yes I know," grandpa said, "I will miss her and I'm sure you will too."
"I already do."
He smirked and put his fork down. "You know, you're getting older only a few years till you'll have a family yourself."
"Grandpa," I sighed, "she's my childhood friend."
"I know Marcus, but it is a good idea."
"How?"
Raelyn just started at us not talking. She ate quietly and didn't want to look at us. But I noticed a very big ring on her finger. What is she doing?
"Marrying Andy one day can benefit us. The government would be happy and maybe give more food and support you know?"
"What if I don't want to marry Andy. Maybe I do maybe I don't! The government doesn't control that!"
"Marcus," he sighed, "yes they do. Raelyn is already getting married."
"Married? She's seventeen."
"Almost eighteen. I'm sorry, but I don't want you guys to starve or our neighbors," he wined trying to sound supportive.
"They won't starve, Andy will be back soon with food and Jax and I will hunt. We got this the government doesn't need to help us."
"I'm sorry. Marry who you want I'm just trying to help, you got years till you need to decide just...don't marry a rich dog."
I nodded. Why do people hate them so much? It's not their fault it's The Middle's fault. I got up from the dinner table and grabbed my gun and backpack. I wanted to go hunting since it's the only thing I can do to pass time. I started to walk out of the house and walked towards our hunting zone. Jax saw me and caught up with me.
"Hey Marcus!" he jumped infront of me and messed up my blonde hair. "Did you get a hair cut?"
"What the hell? Since when do you care?" I laughed.
"Well Andy is gone and I need to make fun of some one."
"I got a person you can make fun of," I paused, "do you know who my sister is engaged to?"
"Oh man, Raelyn? The Ryder guy."
"Are you kidding me!" I yelled.
He chuckled, "yeah I know. Oh my god, dude we should sabotage him!"
"Yes please let's get some plan."
Ryder Macintosh. The biggest jerk of jerks. He works at a very famous mill and is more wealthy than most people here in Dawnlight. He lives really close to the divide wall from Oregon to California then again so do we. He only does things for money and dates everyone. I'm sure my sister didn't really want to marry him, she just wants the money.
"What should we do?" Jax asked.
"We should put rats in his back yard." I smirked.
Jax laughed so hard. "He will scream like a child!"
Ryder hates rats more than anything else. More than the government.

--After hours of collecting rats and running over to his house, we snuck into his back yard. I watched as he cooked steak on a grill and have a lot of advanced mechanisms in his back yard. I quickly released the rats in his yard and he started to panic. I could hear him screaming for help and three other guys walked over to him. They were some soldiers we saw from earlier. I then started to panic. We could go to prison for this.
"Jax what do we do?" I whispered staying as low as I could.
"We should," he paused and the soldiers started to look at us. "Run!"
We got up and ran as fast as we could. I didn't know where to go but I followed Jax. We cut corners and were able to sneak around while running. We didn't have anywhere to go except for the wall. I started to dig as much as I could while Jax kept the lookout. I kept digging and digging and grabbed stones to break the fence and dirt. Eventually the hole was big enough and Jax pushed me through. The soldiers famed and grabbed Jax.
"Jax!" I screamed.
"Go run! I'll be fine!"
I did what he said and kept running. I started to panic and I couldn't feel much. I then started to get dizzy and my vision faded. I fell by a tree and the last thing I saw was a girl dragging me towards her house in a rich neighborhood.
