I really get the chance to take in her  opinion now, her beautiful long dark and thick hair that reaches to her waiste, her olive skin that gives her the perfect natural tan and her dark brown eyes, that I can't stop myself from staring into.  It's like I'm searching for something in them, something that I can never find.

She looks away and I flush red at Jordan who's standing there smirking.

"Have you two already met?" he asks suspiciously.  He rasies his eyebrows and brings his hand to his chin with one finger over his lip, like he's thinking about something.

"No." I defend.  For some reason I feel like I need to save Malia's feelings from Jordan's thoughts.

"Oh well umm..." he mumbles, then he turns back to Malia. "So what's up?"

She shifts in her spot uncomfortably before looking up at me again.

"Well umm... Jai, we've got the same timetable, and um... I just thought you'd need someone to like, show you to your first class and..." she mumbles, as her cheeks go pink.

She looked confident when she walked in, what was she not expecting?

Everything in my attitude told me to say no, too hate everyone here, but she was a hot girl, asking me to go to class with her.

"Err.. sure." I say, not smiling, but not giving her any sign of hate either.

"Oh cool, I'll just wait outside." she smiles, seeming to get more confident.

She walks out as I head to the dresser to get some clean clothes.

"Ooooooohhhhhhhh." Jordan grins childishly.

"Shut up you baby." I scowl, god he's getting on my nerves.

He just laughs as I head into the bathroom.  I look in the mirror and decide there's no option but to have a shower as I take in my filthy state.

I take a quick shower, not wanting to leave Malia wait to long, and slip on my Nike shirt and jeans.  I lace my shoes expertly and rush out as Jordan knocks repeadetly.

I shove him as he enters, impatient shit.

Do I need anything else?  I've got no books or pens so I just head out where Malia is leaning against the wall waiting.

"C'mon class starts soon!" she walks down the hall beside me.

She's about to hit the button for the lift but without looking at her I go straight to the stairs.  A lift ride with her would be so awkward.

She shrugs and follows, dropping a pen as she bounces down the stairs.

"Shit." she curses.

I smile on the inside at her language, this is my type of girl.  I lean down and pick up her pen for her.

"Thanks!" she smiles.

-------------------------------------------

All the subjects are the same to me, but humanities is by far the worst.  One I don't know shit since it was the number 1 class I skipped, two I sat next to the prick Julian and three I SAT NEXT TO THE PRICK JULIAN.

The whole class was a joke as he smirked at my every action, without saying a word.  It made me angrier and angrier and the bell for lunch was the biggest relief of my life.

"Hey!  C'mon I'll show you to lunch." Malia skips over from a conversation with Julian.

She'd been showing me around all day, but I didn't know she was Julian's friend as well.

"What were you talking with Julian?" I ask suspiciously.

"Nothing.  So how's your day going?" she asks, changing the subject.

"Yeah, great." I mutter sarcastically.

I don't know why but I'm just pissed that she's hanging out with Julian, I thought she was gonna be with me?  I guess I'm a little protective cause she's my firsst... well friend.  I know I don't own her, but seriously, anyone but Julian!

"Ok grump." she scowls.  She's such a happy person, and obviously isn't a fan of my negativity.

"Oh and... I was umm..." she mumbles blushing.

"What?" I say flatly.  She's so nervous and it pisses me off.  I'm used to girls who are really straight up and out there with what they want, and this is so confusing.

"Don't worry, later." she tells me before rushing off.

-------------------------------------------

I eat lunch alone in the toilets so no one can see me.  I hate them all, except Malia of course.

The bell for forth period went and I rushed outside so no one noticed me.

I met up with our teacher, Mr Austen, and the rest of the class.

Malia stood next to me as Mr Austen discussed the rules of volleyball and gave us a low down on the way to hit the ball.

We started playing, Malia and I were on a team, and her friend Sarah.  Sarah had straight black hair and glasses, not the type of girl I would ever be seen with, but was cheerful and nice like Malia.

It was my turn to serve and I wanted to impress them.

"Go Jai!" Malia encouraged, waving her ponytail over her shoulder.

I gave her a small smile and threw the ball up.

I hit it hard, straight into Malia.

I was shocked as she fell forward and clutched her side where the ball had made contact.  I gasped and ran to her with the rest of our team.  I didn't think it was that bad but Malia was acting like a bloody bowling ball had hit her!

I pick her up as the teacher tells me to take her to sick bay.  She slings her arm around my neck and groans in pain again, but not before I catch her wink.
