I walked into the Hokage's office and he told me to sit down. I did as I was told as to not disrespect him. I didn't look at him. I was shy and I wanted to just disappear. I looked around the room and saw guys wearing masks. I think I had heard about them. The Anbu an elite group of ninjas sent out on high ranked S class missions. He had two by his side to guard him in case someone tried to assassinate him. Over protected much? He is the strongest ninja in the village... So kind of unnecessary.
"Hello child how are you?" I stayed silent and shrugged making my hand do a so-so sign. He nodded noticing my obvious shyness. he gave me a smile and I gave him a quick small one. Then put my head back down.
"You don't have to be shy you know. We are all here to help. What's troubling you?" I decided to tell him the truth. Better than lying to the Hokage and losing his trust.
"I ran away from my village because they blamed me for killing my parents without asking for my side of the story. I walked in after returning from school and they were on the floor dead. I thought they were just injured but I checked their pulses and I was wrong. I didn't care that they were bloody and I cradled them one by one a neighbor saw me crying with their blood on me and even my brother didn't ask for my side of the story. I ran away and ditched them. they thought I did because I have a wolf demon sealed inside of my body. It's not multi-tailed so it's not like the other demons I've heard of. Anyway I got exhausted and laid down in a tree. Then that one team found me I ran away then one caught up with me. I escaped for about 40 to 50 yards then he knocked me out. I woke up in the hospital and escaped. I met this boy named Naruto. May I ask a question about him?" I asked curiously and he nodded.
"Does he have a monster sealed inside of him? I saw the adults looking like he was a monster and now we are friends. I felt sorry for him but he seemed nice enough." The Hokage hesitated and nodded.
"That's what I thought. Anyway. I ran away again. After about an hour or whatever I finally stopped and broke down and cried. I told the boy Neji he was the one who caught me, about me well some. I ended up screaming at him and running for about ten minutes until he caught me for the third time. Then I agreed after a while to come here. Though there is something I need to show you." I showed him all of my scars including the one on my scars. he stared at me with pity. His mouth slightly gapped open. I could see the Anbu people shift their expressions by the way their eyebrows moved.
"That's what my old village people did to me. Even the ninjas. It hurt mentally and physically obviously. Though I wish they didn't hurt me. That's why I ran away. I didn't want people in a second village to think I am a freak too. I got scared but I'm giving it a chance. Though I'm a little mad at how they treat Naruto because he is now my friend. He deserves to have one that understands him." The Hokage gave me a smile. I can be sweet when I want to.
"Thank you for giving Naruto a chance and welcome to the village. You have been given an apartment to live in and you will start at the academy tomorrow. I will give you rent and food money later when you need it. You are assigned to Iruka's class. Also the Jonin will be notified of your demon. Though I swear they won't treat you differently than any other student or person in the village. I swear it." I smiled and gave the hokage a hug and whispered thank you in his ear and went on my way out.
I was walking the streets trying to find my apartment when I saw a strange guy that looked a little weird. He had black hair shaped like a bowl and big bushy eyes. Then I saw someone that looked like his son though I was sure he was. There was a girl who had two small buns in her hair and she looked really pretty. Then there was Neji I guess that was his team the ones I tried to shake off and they headed towards me when they saw me.
I tried to ignore him but they stopped me. I looked up at them shyly then bowed to them.
"I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble. I was just scared. It wont happen again. I promise." They all smiled at me except Neji who just smirked. I smiled back at them. "Hey what are your names anyway? I'm mean I know Neji's, but that's because he is the one who caught me." They all kept smiling and introduced themselves.
