"Cerise Hood to the Headmaster's office please." Mrs. Trollsworth's voice rang through the PA system of Ever After High. When Cerise Hood heard her name called, she groaned out loud. She dragged herself to Headmaster Grimm's luxurious office. She knocked on the door and was told to enter. Cerise opened the door and sat down in the chair across from Headmaster Grimm's desk.
"Miss Hood, thank you for meeting with me. If you haven't already heard, we are accepting students who are the first in a new story. Seven of these kinds of students will be arriving today. I would like you to meet them at the door and show them around. Show them everything, from the athletics fields to the Dragon Games arena and stables. Do you understand?"
Cerise nodded her head. She wasn't real excited, but, unfortunately, she had to obey her headmaster. If she didn't, her father would have her head. Cerise walked to the front of the school, opened the door, walked out and sat down on the steps, waiting.
Five minutes later, a shadow appeared on the steps beside Cerise. Cerise turned around to see the familiar face of Duchess Swan, who was standing behind her.
"Hey Cerise! Whatcha doin'? Are you waiting for your hot date?" Duchess taunted.
Cerise rolled her eyes.
"No Duchess, I'm not. You know I'm not into boys."
Duchess let out a loud "humph" and stomped away. Cerise turned back around and kept waiting. A little while later, a large shadow swept over Cerise, then something landed with a large thud.
The thing that produced the shadow was a dragon. Well a dragon accompanied by five other dragons, all ridden by one of seven rugged looking teens. One of them, a guy on a black dragon, was the only one wearing a full face helmet. Cerise thought that was a bit odd. Four of the others wore Viking helmets, and the remaining two wore nothing. Cerise noted there were three girls, and four guys. One girl with a blond braid and an axe came up to Cerise.
"Let me guess. You're here to show us around the school," she said sarcastically.
"Astrid, cool it," said the guy with the helmet on. Even though his voice was muffled by the helmet, it still made Cerise's heart do a weird fluttery thing. She ignored it though.
The blond called Astrid took a deep breath and tried again.
"I'm sorry. Let me try this again. My name's Astrid Hofferson, and this is my Deadly Nadder, Stormfly. What's your name?"
Cerise gave her a small smile.
"I'm Cerise Hood, daughter of Red Riding Hood. Welcome to Ever After High!"
"I'm Heather Haddock, and this is my Razorwhip, Windshear!"
A girl with a dark brown braid and a double axe approached Cerise. Cerise smiled at her and Heather smiled back.
A chubby guy approached with a chubby dragon.
"Hi, I'm Fishlegs Ingerman and this is my Gronkle, Meatlug! Say hi Meatlug! Isn't she a cutie?" Fishlegs asked as he scratched Meatlug.
Cerise had to laugh at that. A boy and girl came up to them just then, along with a two headed dragon. The boy and girl looked as if they could be twins, or at least siblings.
"We are Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thorston and this is Barf and Belch, the Hideous Zippleback! Anyone at this school like to cause mischief?" They spoke simultaneously. Cerise shook her head. Kitty used to but she didn't now, and Duchess was just mean.
A stout looking guy came up just then. He had choppy black hair and was a bit shorter than Cerise. He grabbed her hand and attempted to kiss it, but Cerise yanked her hand away and smacked him due to reflex. He cried out in pain and grabbed his cheek.
"That's Snotlout Jorgensen and his Monstrous Nightmare, Hookfang. You must have a pretty strong arm," Astrid said as she looked at Snotlout, who was now rolling on the ground in pain, whimpering. Cerise laughed.
The last teen was now dismounting his sleek black dragon and walked toward Cerise. He removed his helmet and Cerise's heart stuttered. She mentally scolded herself. Why was she feeling this way?
The guy had a chiseled face sprinkled with freckles. His eyes were vivid green, and his messy brown hair had two small braids sticking out on the right side. He wore green pants and a reddish shirt covered with brown leather armor. A shield hung on his back. The one thing that really stuck out was the metal prosthetic leg on his left leg.
"I'm Hiccup Haddock, son of Stoick the Vast, chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe of Berk. And this is Toothless, my Night Fury friend," he held out his hand to Cerise and she shook it. Toothless came up to Cerise and nudged her leg. Cerise cautiously reached down and patted his head.
"That's weird. Toothless is usually not real friendly around new people," Huccup said. Cerise had to look up to see his face when he talked. He must have been about 6'1" because Cerise was 5'9".
Cerise shook herself out of those weird thoughts. She should probably start showing them around.
AN: Okay, a couple things I need to explain. 1. In my story, Heather is Hiccup's sister, not Dagur's. Hiccup and Heather look more alike than Heather and Dagur. 2. Heather is with the gang in my story because she's Hiccup's sister. So she's part of them. 3. There is no romantic relationship between Astrid and Hiccup. They think of each other like siblings, so no romance there.
