He was drowning,
but no one ever saw him struggle.

My heart stopped suddenly as Amber uttered those words. It was as if everything was moving in slow motion, the conversation I was eavesdropping on soon became a quiet mutter in the background. I struggled to believe the words that just came out of the her mouth. It just didn't seem possible that the Richmond High's "golden boy" would try to commit suicide. He had everything a High school boy would ever want. A rich family, a hot girlfriend, popularity and being able to be athletic was an added bonus. Everyone loved him and ether wanted to be friends with or wanted to be him.

Reality soon hit me as a I heard the loud echo of the school bell that indicated to us that 1st period was about to begin. The girls were still talking, adding how they felt pity for Chelsea and how could he embarrass her like that.

But what about Judah?

Making my way down the hall to my lesson I Couldn't help but think what caused Judah to feel such agony to make want to leave this world.

'Maybe, I should go to the hospital to see if he's alright' I thought to myself . 'You don't even know him Maxx', and he sure as hell don't know you, so why bother?'  I asked questioning my own thought. 'I would want someone to be next me, if I was in his position loneliness isn't a pleasant feeling, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if he's doing okay.'

I decided I'd make my way to visit him once school was over. I walked out of the school, somehow whenever I get out of school all the students seemed to have disappeared leading the school grounds looking deserted but today because of the journey I had ahead of me it was only right for me to leave on time. There was only one hospital in this town which as 25 - 30 minutes walk away from school, which isn't so bad considering I live in a couple minutes before. I put my earphones in putting my playlist on shuffle just giving as I waked.

I felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my joggers. 'Mommy<3' I answered instantly knowing I was about to revive an earful. I could barely hear what she was saying as she had already began shouting right off the bat.

"Mummy calm down, I don't understand what you're saying." I said. "Calm down? Maxxie Renne Ashad where in the world are you?! School ended at least half an hour ago, why are you not at home?!" I looked at the time I've been walking for longer than I thought, I continued to stay silent not knowing if she wanted me to speak now. "answer me," She says calmly after a second. "I'm walking to the hospital, mum," I answered, "one of my friends got into accident in school and I wanted to see if he was alright." Little does she know I'm just being nosey. "Why would want to walk forty minutes to see if someone's alright, Maxx?" She questioned. "He is not just anybody, he is one of my best friends and it's not a fifty minute walk it's thirty five minutes at most and it not too far from home mum." She sighed into the phone, "Okay, just come straight back home please." "Okay, and I know what you're going to say I'll be safe don't worry." "Just be home before eight you know I have a late shift tonight, I love you" "I love you too, mummy. Bye." "Bye, baby."

It wasn't that long after I got off the phone with my mom, I reached the entrance of the hospital. I walked in through the automatic doors to be greeted with the smell of hand sanitiser, it's the first time I've been in the hospital in a while. I made my way over to the reception desk taking my earphones out putting them back in my pocket along with my phone, where a lady who looked around in her mid forties sat, she looked rather scary, she was wearing light blue scrubs like a nurse. She continued writing on a long sheet document paper, noticing my presence she looked up at me and looked back down.
