I had been having weird dreams for a few weeks, in one of my dreams there was a girl. I am not even sure if it was a girl I had seen, all I could see were her eyes. They were so beautiful, they were a gray-blue. Like a tempest, and I had been caught in the storm.

                            .                                                                       .

I awoke with a start, I was covered in sweat. I could still feel the sweat trickling down my back.  My bangs were pasted to my face.

" Theo! Get outta bed or you're gonna miss the bus!" My mother yelled at me from down stairs.  I groaned, I was so tired. I had been tossing and turning for the past few weeks. I slipped out of bed and stood up to stretch, the sunlight was coming in through my window. I walked over to the curtains to let in more light. As I opened them I saw a dark figure running in the forest behind my house. I shrugged it off thinking that it was just some kid doing drugs behind my house. It wasn't the first time that had happened.

I walked over to my closet and grabbed a shirt from the floor that didn't look too wrinkled. I then picked up a pair of jeans that didn't have stains on it. I quickly put them grabbed my backpack and ran down the stairs. I saw my little brother at the dining  room table munching on some toast with jam.

"Good morning Andy." I said as I ruffled his hair as I walked past him to get to the front door.

"Don't call my Andy! I'm not a baby any more!" He yelled at me as I closed the door. I ran to my bus stop, I saw my friend Simon there already.  His nose was deep in a book, he was reading  A Tale of Two Cities for the second time that week.

"Hey Simon!" I yelled because I knew it would make him jump. I knew I was the same way when I was reading. He pushed up his glasses that had slid down his face when I scared him. The bus then arrived, the doors opened with a swoosh and a creak. We got on the bus and sat in our respectable seat that we sat in all the time. Our names might have well as been carved in the seat. All the way to school we talked about books, what else would we talk about. There weren't any girls that we were interested in, at school anyways. When our bus got to school the principal was waiting at the curb.

I heard all the kids murmuring saying that what ever happened on the bus, they didn't do. I was surprised that when I got off the bus, he had his eyes set on me.

"Mr. Quinton, sorry about the last minute notice but, there is a new student here. I was wondering if you would show her around the school?" He pleaded, as if I would say no. A new student, I wondered what she would look like? He walked me to the office in silence. When we got there, I wasn't expecting to see those eyes.

We walked into his office and  I saw a girl sitting there. She had long brown hair that cascaded down her back. She also had it like a wall in the front of her face. Almost as if she could block out the world behind her wall of hair. I noticed that she was reading a book as we walked in.

"Mh hmm," the principal cleared his throat loudly, "Miss Thornton, this is Mr. Quinton. He is going to be your guide." She looked at me, my heart stopped. Her eyes were the same ones that I had seen in my dreams before. I stuck out my hand for her to shake, she then followed suit and slowly raised her hand.

"Hello, my name is Theodore. But you can call me Theo." I said that last part to sound more friendly.

"Hi," her voice was sweet, "my name is Thadia, you can call me Thad." she said that last part hesitantly.

"Good," the principal said, "know that we have been acquainted, lets get to class." He clapped his hands loudly. He then rushed us out of his office to do, God knows what. I noticed that her glasses looked a bit like mine, although mine were completely black. Whereas hers were teal on the sides.

"So, what school did you come from?" I asked making small talk. I could tell that she didn't really want to talk,  but I still wanted to try.  She looked at me and bit her lip, she looked at me to see if she could trust me or not.

"I came from Arizona," she said then she studied me some more, "I feel like we've met before. Have we?" She gave an obliviously quizzical look. I was debating on what I should say next, would it be too creepy to say that I had a dream about you?

"I don't think we've met before. Maybe I have a familiar face?" She looked at me and I could tell  she wasn't quite convinced.  "Well, here's your next class. I'll pick you up before it ends. OK?" I could tell that she was nervous because she was playing with a bracelet on her wrist. She looked straight ahead at the door, gave a loud sigh, then walked in. I sighed as well then walked to my first class. I sat down and for a whole hour, I thought of her eyes.

                              .                                                                        .                                                                   .

"You know what I think? I think its voodoo stuff." My friend Cadmus said.

"Yeah I totally agree." Qaadhee said.

"Ummm...sure" Zaccheus said just to agree.

"You guys, are weird."  Omarion exclaimed.

"I totally agree." Simon said just so he could be apart of the superstitions.

"I'm not so sure I agree with either of you guys. Yeah there just dreams but you guys have heard them all," they nodded there heads in agreement as I looked at each of them in turn, "some of them are scary as heck." Just thinking about some of my dreams made me feel a shiver go up my spine. For the rest of the day we played video games, but I was never really there. I was always in my dreams thinking about her.
