Meeting with Ayla

Chapter 6

I ran to Ayla's door and as soon as I went to knock she opened it. Seriously what is it with these people and knowing when I was here already. I gave a confused face and looked at her. "What?" She said and gave me an equally confused face. "How did you know I was here?" She looked as if she was debating something and then said "I saw you when my parents left, and just opened the door." "Alright we'll whatever just let me in."

We went up stairs to her room which was huge, but it wasn't as big as mine my Aunt and Uncle have always seemed to have money. I've lived with them since I was a kid because my parents died.

"Kylie, what's wrong? You look worried." Ayla asked staring at me with concern flashing through her eyes. "It's just been a long day." She let out a breath of relief and that's when I smelt it. Something was off with her she smelled different, not like a human should smell. But she's always been warm so she can't be a vampire. Her hair grows fast and she has perfect teeth and a nice body. She's a little bit shorter than me but has a good amount of muscle but not enough to make her look like a boy.

"Wanna listen to some music?" She asked I know she asked because I love music and it always calms me down. "Sure put in something good". She was putting on 'Cooler than me' by Mike Posner when I smelt it again. But this time I know the smell. "Wet dog" Ayla turned around and looked at me "what did you say?" "You smell like wet dog Ayla". And that's when I noticed her hair was wet like she had just gotten out of the shower.

"Ayla is there something you want to tell me?" She looked like she was having a serious debate in her head and that's when I remembered Sawyer always has that look when he is talking to his wolf. Her eyes are fogged over like she's in some other world and she keeps changing her emotion on her face but she still looked as if she was debating something so I interrupted "Ayla tell your wolf I already know". That broke her out her trance and she gasped.

"How do you know?" She looked pretty confused it was almost funny. She started sniffing "you don't smell like a supernatural, and your pattern is normal, well almost." She blinked a couple times and then tried again "Ughhh did Sawyer tell you about us werewolves?". "No, we'll yes, we'll kinda. I figured it out myself." She looked pissed that Sawyer told me so I decided to spill it. "I am a supernatural too." She gasped "we'll what are you?" " I don't know yet I've been trying to figure out but I can become many things. I can be a wolf, a fairy, a vampire, many things but I don't know how to control it.

She squealed so loud I thought my ears were going to pop. "Ehhhhh, you're a wolf" she had the biggest smile I have ever seen in my life " just wait until you find your mate" she sighed and I wondered who her mate is. " I already have" I said and she looked at me with wide eyes. "Who? Who? WHOOOO?" "Sawyer, Sawyer is my mate!" "EHHHHHHHHHH!!! IM SOO HAPPY" she screamed as she jumped and tackled me.

"Calm down, but anyways I have to start heading back to my house Sawyer is waiting for me." She pouted but then said alright. I said my goodbyes and started back to my house thinking my best friend is a werewolf.
