Chapter 2 :Am I seeing things?
It was the next day. Jimin hadn't slept all night, he kept thinking about what his mum said to him the night before 'you've cursed us all' had he really?. After all, it was only a nursery rhyme. Jimin got up & went to the bathroom to brush his teeth, as he was doing so, he noticed a movement in the mirror in front. He looked behind him but nothing was there, it was just the same old blue wall with a crack down the middle. He turned to face the mirror again. He finished brushing his teeth & went back to his room to wake up his friends. However, when he entered his bedroom they weren't there.
Jimin started to freak out, but then realized that they may just be downstairs. He stood still for a few minutes to take in the silence of the house. There was no noise, not even from downstairs or outside. His bedroom light flickered "Oh no, not again!" His lightbulb was dying for the second time in a week, he chose to ignore it & got changed. He made his way towards the door but when he looked up, he saw his mum standing facing him, with no expression on her face; her eyes were blood shot, black saggy bags underneath her eyes. "Mum?" She did not reply "Mum, are you okay?" She began to speak "Yo..you... You do not have th...the right to call me MUM! You've.. Cursed us all, You and all your friends have cursed us!". Jimin blinked and pushed past his mum & made his way downstairs.
As Jimin walked down the soft, well carpeted stairs he heard Joseph & Frank playing a game on his Playstation 3 ; The sound track of need for speed pierced through the air. He made his way into the kitchen & poured himself a bowl of cereal. He noticed the light above him was flickering to. Stephen entered the kitchen with excitement after watching his friends play in the living room. "Can I have some?" Said Stephen "Sure bro, go ahead" ; He grabbed a deep white bowl from the cupboard and handed it to Stephen, he sat down & made himself a bowl of cereal. Jimin looked at Stephen and smiled, He'd never seen Stephen so happy, he's always been the kid that never smiles in school & always got into trouble even though he didn't do anything during lesson.
Jimin looked out of the kitchen window & noticed his dads car was not on the pebble stoned drive way. Stephen broke the silence "Your dad left about half hour ago, I think he went to the store". He thought to himself 'That's odd, dad never went shopping, it was always mum'. He finished his cereal & said to Stephen "'Ight bro, I'm gonna' go join the other guys in the living room, make sure to put the bowl in the dishwasher! Aha", Stephen replied with a polite nod & smiled.
As he was making his way to the living room, he noticed in one of the mirrors that was hanging on a cracked wall in the hallway, was a reflection of an old woman. Some how identical from the one across the street. He decided to ignore it, but as he moved, he fell to the ground. A loud thud echoed throughout the hallway. Joseph & Frank turned around to see what it was & noticed him lying there unconscious. George made his way down stairs & gasped when he saw Jimin on the floor "Jimin! Are you okay?!" Said George. He did not reply; he was out cold like he'd been hit with a baseball bat.
Stephen exited the kitchen & when he noticed Jimin lying on the floor, he called for Jimins mother, "Miss Archy! Jimins hurt!!!" -BANG- a door slammed from upstairs and loud running footsteps across the landing & down the stairs. Miss Archy appeared around the corner & saw Jimin; she burst into tears and quickly grabbed the telephone & dialed 999 & spoke "H..hello, my son he's hurt, I need an ambulance, please come quick!..." She gave the woman on the receiving end the address to her house & was told that help was on the way. Miss Archy put the phone down & told Jimins friends that it was probably best for them to go home. However, Stephen refused; he wanted to stay with Jimin, as secretly he liked him. Miss Archy begged for Stephen to go home but he still refused, in the end Stephen stayed.
